The students have also been learning the

compare their measurements to those of their
classmates. The students have also completed their
tangram story illustrations. They are excited about
sharing their story with you soon.

In social studies, the students learned about Ireland and

how people celebrate Green Day/St Paddys in Canada,
USA, Ireland and even here in Korea. The students also
danced to traditional Irish reels. We discussed White Day
and Earth day, and compared how different cultures
celebrate holidays.

The
highlight
of our
month
was
preparing
for, and
visiting a

seniors
home.

The class prepared by discussing good and poor ways to

treat the elderly, and how we could help them. The
students decided to make flowers and sing for the
grandmas and grandpas. It was a success and great
time for everyone!

In Language, the students have been working on their oral

presentation skills. The students have started to select and .
read their best journal entries to one another. So far, many
students have been shy, but they are also very excited to
share their best work with their peers and it has challenged .
them to write longer and more exciting stories.
