CENTER CONSOLE PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

Special Tools Required

KTC Trim Tool Set SOJATP2014*

*Available through the Acura Tool and Equipment Program; call 888-424-6857

NOTE: Put on gloves to protect your hands.

Take care not to scratch the front seat, the dashboard, or the related parts.
Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when
Identifying components.
When prying with a flat-tip screwdriver, wrap it with protective tape to
prevent damage.

1. Remove the dashboard center trims both sides (see DASHBOARD CENTER TRIM
REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
2. Remove the screws securing the center console panel (A).

3. A/T: Apply the protective tape (A) to the A/T shift panel (B) along the side edge of the shift lever boot

base (C). Pry upon the edge of the shift lever trim with a flat-tipped screwdriver to release the hooks (D).

4. M/T: Lower the shift lever boot (A) to release the hooks (B) from the boot, then remove the shift knob
(C).

5. Detach the clips by pulling up the A/T shift panel (A). Disconnect the seat heater switch connectors or
seat ventilation switch connectors (B) and the A/T gear shift position indicator light connector (C) (A/T).

NOTE: A/T is shown; M/T is similar.

6. Detach the clips by pulling up the center console panel (A). Disconnect the accessory power socket
connector (B), then remove the console panel.

7. Install the console panel in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones.

Make sure each connector is plugged in properly.

Push the clips and the hooks into place securely.

CENTER CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

prevent damage.

1. Remove these items:

Dashboard center trims, both sides (see DASHBOARD CENTER TRIM
REMOVAL/INSTALLATION )
CENTER CONSOLE PANEL.
Center CONSOLE REAR TRIM.
Passenger's dashboard undercover (see GLOVE BOX DAMPER REPLACEMENT )
Console carpet trims, both sides (see step 2).
2. Disconnect the center console RF unit connector (A). Remove the center console RF unit mounting bolts,
then remove the center console RF unit (B).

3. Loosen the parking brake lever mounting bolts.

4. Disconnect the center console subharness connector (A), the parking brake switch connector (B), the USB
adapter unit connector (C), and the seat ventilation control unit connector (D), then detach the harness
clips (E).

5. Remove the screws securing the center console (A).

6. Remove the bolts securing the center console (A).

7. Remove the center console (A).

1. Detach the clips (B) securing the passenger's front console cover (C).
2. Detach the clips (D) by pulling out the console from both sides, and pull up the console to release
the guide pin (E).

8. Install the console in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
If the clips are damaged, replace them with new ones.
Make sure each connector is plugged in properly.
Push the clips and the hooks into place securely.

2. Install the trim in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones.
Push the clips into place securely.

CENTER CONSOLE ARMREST REPLACEMENT

1. Remove the center console rear trim.

2. Gently pull out the console upper trims (A) to detach the clips, and remove the trims. Remove the screws
securing the center console (B).

3. Turn the center console light socket (A) 45 counterclockwise to remove the socket from the housing.
Remove the screws securing the center console armrest (B).

4. Pull up the center console armrest (A) and remove it.

5. Install the armrest in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones.
Push the clips into place securely.

1. Remove the CENTER CONSOLE PANEL.

2. Remove the screws from the back or the center console panel (A), then remove the panel from the center
console pocket assembly (B) and the beverage holder assembly (C).

3. Remove the screws from both sides of the beverage holder (A), then remove the driver's side shutter rail
(B), the passenger's side shutter rail (C), and the console shutter (D).

4. Reassemble the center console panel in the reverse order of disassembly.

1. Remove the CENTER CONSOLE.

2. Pry out the rear edge of the console carpet trim (A, B) with the appropriate trim tool to detach the clips
and to release the hooks (C) from the center console (D).

3. Remove the screws from both sides of the center console (A), then remove the console side pockets (B).
