Explain: Most of the students were on the task and they were listening to their teacher and
following the class rules during my observation. Students were well behaved in the class.
Overall teacher was good at management the class and the following the procedures.

Explain: I can say that teacher used the lecturing method in class. At the beginning of the class,
he taught their recent topic. He asked questions to students for keeping their attention to the
class, when he was teaching. And then they made a group activity after lecturing. Lastly, he
made a quiz for assessment.

Explain: When his students came to the class, they took their textbook. Teacher used a book for
teaching verbs. After learning the verbs, he began to teach a grammar topic(simple past tense)
with PowerPoint by using computer and projector.

Explain: After teaching, teacher made small group activity, teacher gave a paper about simple
past tense which is a grammar topic to groups and each group member started to discuss the
question each other and they were explaining the teacher.

Explain: Students read a part from the book while teacher were teaching. After that, he gave his
students worksheet about the topic. After worksheet, teacher made a group activity.

Explain: As far as I observed that the teacher was very effective for time management. He was
using countdown for each activity. He was asking to question. He was motivating and encouring
the his students for participation.

OVERALL COMMENTS AND REFLECTIONS:

This class was a Turkish language class for 8th graders. As a novice teacher, it was a
very excited experience for in that class. I enjoyed the class and I can say that I learned some
strategies for my class and another things is that it was very successful lesson. Teacher was
very effective for lecturing, time management, encouraging his students and managing to group
activity. The class environment was so interesting and very well designed for a good learning
environment. He began to a bell work for a reminder. Then he taught his topic very clearly and
he did not let his students to be off topic. He always kept his students attention to class very
actively. He used very useful and helpful strategies during the class.

To sum up, the class was very well organized and ready to teach and learn the
objectives. The teachers knowledge was so advanced and he answered all questions clearly.
He also used time carefully.
