Exam was pretty good. Some questions were tough but most of the others were easy
and straight forward, shared Saikat Bhattacharya of Alcon Public School. He went on
to reveal that as per him CLAT 2017 was easier as compared to last years question
paper. Talking about the section-wise di culty level, he said, Maths was little di cult,
Legal Reasoning section was quite di cult and long. Rest was easy. Even Priyam

found CLAT 2017 to be easy. Regarding the di culty level of dierent sections of CLAT

2017 for UG admissions, she said, Logical Reasoning and Maths sections were
average. Only students who had practiced a lot would have been able to solve the
questions in Legal Aptitude section but the questions were not di cult in this section,
just a bit lengthy. English section was average. In GK section also if you had prepared
then only you would be able to attempt questions. A lot of current aairs questions
were asked in this section. She further went on to say that, Out of 100%, 80% of the
paper was nice.

A BA LLB course aspirant, Vinayak was quoted as saying, CLAT was good. The GK
section, as per me was easy. It was mostly from Pratiyogita Darpan. Maths was a bit
lengthy. In Legal Reasoning they had twisted the questions a bit like when you give
principles, you give it from law, from Constitution or the Bare Act. But here, Battery
was the principle for Assault. Also, in one or two places they had given that
kidnapping is not an oence. So, you had to read the questions very carefully. Other
than that, the paper was simple. Logical Reasoning was a little time consuming and
English was Ok. Bhavya Kohli, a student of DL DAV Model School, Shalimar Bagh felt
that CLAT 2017 was a balanced paper. He elaborated on the section-wise di culty
level of CLAT paper by saying, To me GK was the most di cult section followed by
Legal Aptitude. Maths was a bit tough. Logical Reasoning, English and GK sections
were ne. Questions asked in Legal Aptitude section were a bit tricky.

As per Aditya, the test paper was lengthy. About Common Law Admission Test for UG
admissions he was quoted as saying, The exam was good, considering there were
200 questions and we had to complete it in two hours, I felt it was a bit lengthy. In
fact, I left 5 questions. Other than that, the di culty level of the paper was moderate.
Although his exam was good, Sanjeev, a student of SelaQui International School,
Dehradun, also felt that the test paper was lengthy. I was not able to attempt the
Maths section due to shortage of time but others are telling me that it was tough.
Apart from that, GK was tough, Logical Reasoning was easy, Legal Aptitude was a bit
lengthy but it was easy and English was good, he said.

For Abhishek of Delhi Public School, Maths section of CLAT 2017 for UG admissions
was a bit lengthy. Informing about section-wise di culty level of CLAT UG exam he
said, GK was a bit dierent, it had no direct questions, all of them were current
aairs questions related to International aairs. Rest all the sections including Legal
section were easy.

Ipsa a student of Ryan International School, Greater Noida felt that CLAT UG exam
paper was OK and it was as good as last year. However, she felt that, this year some
questions were trickier. Other than that, there were no major surprises in the paper.
GK section was easier (this year) as compared to last year and questions asked were
mainly related to current aairs, both Indian and international. Talking about the
di culty level of other sections of CLAT 2017 for UG course admissions she said,
English and Legal Reasoning section were the easiest whereas GK section was
average. In Logical Reasoning, some questions were tricky otherwise it was OK. As
per her, Maths was the most di cult section in CLAT UG exam.

CLAT UG 2017 vs CLAT UG 2016

Although most of the students felt that CLAT UG 2017 paper was at par with past
yeas papers. But, some students felt that questions asked in the Legal Aptitude
section were dierent as compared to those put forth in earlier editions of the law
entrance exam.

Regarding any surprises in CLAT 2017 paper, Vinayak said, I think the paper was a
little dierent in the Legal Aptitude section as all 15 questions were from Maxims
which has never happened before as you have Principles or Statement Assumption
questions. There were no Legal Knowledge questions in the paper. Apart from that, in
the English section, there was one passage before that there were 10 grammar
questions and the rest were just spelling questions. Even Abhishek felt that the

questions asked in the Legal Aptitude section of CLAT UG exam was a bit dierent. In

Legal they asked only legal words and no legal knowledge questions, he shared.

On the other hand, Bhavya who claims to have solved all the past 10 years papers of
CLAT 2017 shared that as per him there were no surprises in CLAT 2017 UG exam
paper.

CLAT LLM 2017: Section-wise Di culty Level

Most of the students shared that CLAT LLM paper was average with respect to
di culty level. Bhupendra Thale said, It was good. The test pattern was exactly as
mentioned on the website. I felt the paper was more di cult than last years paper.
On the other hand, Nitesh shared that as he was not able to prepare in a better
manner for CLAT PG exam, he found the paper to be tough but if someone would
have studied, it would have been a good paper for them.

The paper did not go too well for Sneha as well because she did not prepare
adequately for CLAT LLM 2017. Regarding the test pattern and di culty level of CLAT
PG exam she said, The exam pattern was similar to last year and there were no
changes. The paper wasnt lengthy and I was able to attempt all the questions. Among
all the sections, questions asked in jurisprudence were of moderate di culty level.
Other than that, questions asked in Constitutional Law section were easy and in last
(other law subjects) section were very easy.

A recent graduate from Symbiosis Law School, Pune, Ayush shared that he knew the
test pattern for the exam and it was exactly as mentioned on the exams website.
Talking about his experience of giving CLAT PG exam he said, It was average. I knew
that there would be 3 sections and questions would be asked from Constitution,
Jurisprudence and other law subjects. But I did not practice too much for it, so it was
an average paper for me. Elaborating on the test pattern and section-wise di culty
level for CLAT LLM exam, Ayush said, Jurisprudence was the most di cult section
because they did not put questions in a logical manner and didnt ask any logical
principles in that sense. They just put forth quotes of jurists and we had to name the
jurists. In Constitution section, they asked Article numbers and similar things. In the
third section we had to apply our analytical skills to answer the questions.
