Trigonometric functions by TheMathCoach

The most common trigonometric functions are

eiz eiz eiz + eiz eiz eiz

sin(z) = cos(z) = tan(z) =
2i 2 i (eiz + eiz )

some more trigonometric functions are

cos(z) 1 1
cot = csc(z) = sec(z) =
sin(z) sin(z) cos(z)

just remove all the i:s and you get the hyperbolic versions

ez ez ez + ez ez ez
sinh(z) = cosh(z) = tanh(z) =
2 2 (ez + ez )

cosh(z) 1 1
coth(z) = csch(z) = sech(z) =
sinh(z) sinh(z) cosh(z)

Connections
Some of the connections there are between the hyperbolic functions and the trigonometric functions.

cosh(z) = cos(iz)
sinh(z) = i sin(iz)
tanh(z) = i tan(iz)
sech(z) = sec(iz)
coth(z) = i cot(iz)
csch(z) = i csc(iz)
