Introduction

Summary of the history: A king who had everything he wanted, but a

star. He then sends a fleet of ships to bring one to his palace before
Christmas. They bring it, but it is too big and the king has to put the
star outside the palace. The moment the king removes the star from
the sky, in another city a child becomes ill because he does not see
the star of his window. Then, people began to arrive and the star
began to fill with garbage, so the king decided to release it. So, the
king and the boy had a happy Christmas
Justification: as proposal for didactic use of the story, I have thought
of doing three different exercises. First of all, separate the class into
groups.
o 1: Give them images and texts separately and they have to join
them.
o 2: Each group will have to create a short story with pictures.
o 3: Each group will tell the story in front of the class
Target:
o Age: 10 years old
o Grade: 5-6 primary
o English level of the children: They have to have a basic level of
English to be able to make the story.
Task Chart
- Task: brief description of every task (three tasks)
- Didactic objectives:
o Competencies (assign numbers, e.g. C1, C2)
C1, C5, C8
o Skills (listening, reading, oral, writing)
Listening: listening and understanding the story of the
other students
Reading: recognising key vocabulary; story sequencing;
matching words to pictures.
Oral: Telling the story loudly to the class
Writing: write a story

o Contents :
Arts: to design the book of the story
- Procedure:
o We will give you the photos and texts to join them. We will
correct it later
o They will have to create the history between all
o They will make a little book using a poster board
o They will make the drawings and pass the text to the book.
o Each one read a piece of the book
- Materials:
o Scissors
o Paper
o Paints
o Pen
o Pencil
o Glue
o Cardboard
- Space: in classroom
- Timing: 2 lessons
o 1: 20min to do the first exercise. 40 min to do the second
exercise.
o 2: 30 min to finish the book. 30 to tell the story to the class

- Evaluation

EVALUATION YES NO SOMETIMES

CRITERIA

-The book has

beginning,
development and
final.
-Has actively
participated.
-The drawings reflect
what they have put
in the text.
We will count the
mistakes they have
had.
Main outcome
At the end of all the books, I would pass all the stories to computer to create
a notebook with all the stories. Then the notebook would be rotated through
all the houses
Conclusions:
I think the didactic sequence that I designed is very nice for 3 reasons:
1: Because students can exercise their imagination creating the story and
making the book
2: Because they increase their reading, writing and hearing capacity
3: Because families can see the work done by their children and is a
beautiful memory
