She vowed that her life would be different, with regards to time for family and involve- ment in areas not necessarily related to money or professional advancement. She and husband Russell have owned a number of businesses including truck driving, a motel, commercial laundry and a manufacturing operation. At the same time, they have been able to homeschool three children and get involved in social and environmental issues dear to them. Recently she embarked on a journey into local government and was elected onto the Hamilton City Council. Initially Siggi got involved in the business as she wanted access to environmentally safe products, but then she was encouraged to go along to a Network 21 meeting which opened her eyes to a business opportunity she could do alongside raising children and her other commitments. She also saw the opportunity for travel, which is always exciting when you come from another country. She attributes her personal growth, her confidence and her attitude to the wonderful teaching of Network 21. With a focus on health and wellness and the support of her sponsor, she can see a great future ahead to help many people.
