What if women couldn't do

important things? Women could not


own any thing.first of all, most women spent
their lives thinking that men were supposed to do
the important things, married women couldnt
vote, make money, or own property. they could not
even enjoy what men could. they also had to take
care of the housework and children. Women were
supposed to be focused on housework, not
politics .they eventually had enough of it.taking
acton women are working hard and they are
striving for freedom of men,First nwsa (National
Women's Suffrage association) was creating a
amendment for women to vote. Then, the
delegates finally believed women should have the
right to vote. the demand for the vote took a very
long time and finally became a centerpiece of the
womens rights movement. these two were the
cause and effect of each other. They were mocked
in the press, and delegates withdrew their support
for the declaration of sentiments. Also, men were
accused of dressing up like women and voting
twice, and this caused the legislature to take away
womens voting rights. then,the civil war erupted in
april 1861, and
the womens suffrage movement faded from
public view. They suffered another setback from
the rights for black men to vote. finally susan.b
anthony formed organizations that raised and
made the government grant voting rights to
women.
After a 70 year battle women got the 19
amendment.
The process of the solution did not take action until
1848 that was when womens rights were put into
motion. August 18, 1920 womens rights were put
into the U.S. constitution. Then, in 1864 Wyoming
granted women 21 and older the right to vote.
Finally within six years colorado,utah,and idaho got
the 19th amendment and women had the right to
vote.
Historians called this the cult of true womanhood.
