Valentine's day

In an apartment, and Misty and her best friend Brenna are having and argument about misty
not having a date for valentine's day.

Brenna: Misty, tomorrow is valentine's day and you still don't have a date.
Misty: I dont need a date. (rolls eyes and walks into living room brushing teeth)
Brenna: Yes you do.
Misty: Uh NO I dont.
Brenna: yes you do. You are gonna be one of these sad singles on valentine's day who just sits
home alone watching netflix.
Misty: Oh yha, or I could be like you who has 10 valentines dates set up back to back for
tomorrow. (Gives Brenna a look, raised her eyebrow and goes into the bathroom to spit)
Brenna: Misty! You have to live a little. Were still young, if you didn't remember. Im aloud to
have a little fun. (rolls eyes)
Brenna: and by the way I don't have TEN dates, Thank you very much.
Misty: Oh really what's the number now.
Brenna: seven.
Brenna: 8,9,and 10 canceled on me. But its there loss, no theyll never get to know how great I
am.
Misty: oh well, how unfortunate (rolls eyes, and slightly chuckles)
Misty: Now instead of 10 suters you only have 7, pity it is,... really.
(there a small pause between Misty and Brenna, then the both break the silence by erupting into
laughter.)
Brenna: Ok, ok I see what your saying. (still laughing) I'll lay off you getting a date for
tomorrow. But you atleast have to go out with me.
Misty : (rolls eyes)
Brenna: Misty I have to ask, but does you not going have anything to do with scott?
Misty: (looks down and takes a deep breath)
Brenna: M, it's been over a year since you two broke up.
Misty: yha but we were together for 4 years.
Misty: that's 4 years of memories, 4 years of valentines I didn't spend alone.
Misty: I just kinda of want to spend this one by myself, not going out on a date.
Brenna: Ok so then don't go out on a date. Don;t even go out at all. Just sit here all alone in the
apartment eating your feelings and watching the notebook for the 100th time and wallow over
what happened.
Misty: ok, well when you say it like that, it makes it sound really sad.
Brenna: well it's true. Trust me that's what will happen tomorrow.
Brenna I'm gonna give you a choice. You can either 1) come out with me and not be all sad and
alone. Or 2) Stay home and dry your eyes our while eating ice cream and pizza.
Brenna: So? What will it be.
Misty: Well what about dates 1-7? ( Misty raised her eyebrow and slightly smerks)
Brenna: (lets out a big sigh)
Brena: If you come out with me tomorrow Ill cancel dates 1-7. Because spending the night
partying it up with my Best friends is was more important to me than some random guys I wont
ever see again.
Misty: (lets out a sigh) if going out with you tomorrow will get you off my back, Ill come with
you.
Brenna: Finally!
(Brenna runs over to the balcony doors and swings them open, and runs onto the balcony and
shout out at the top of her lungs.)
Brenna:EVERYBODY WATCH OUT GRANDMAS COMING OUT!
(misty runs over to the balcony and yanks brenna back in.)
Misty: What the hell are you doing!?
Brenna: Letting the world know what to prepare for. Tomorrow's gonna be one of our craziest
nights.
Misty: (rolls eyes) oh my god.
Brenna: Trust me this will be a night to remember. (winks and chuckles.)
(the next day, Misty and Brenna are still in an apartment, but are know getting ready to go out
for the night. Brenna's phone keeps going off.)
Brenna: Oh my god. (rolls eyes and pushes a button on her phone)
Misty: Oh my god Brenna, shut your damn phone up.
Brenna: Sorry, date number 4 keeps calling to see if i'll uncanceled.
Misty: Date number four? Do you actually know any of their real names? (slightly chuckles)
(Brenna has a short pause)
Brenna: Of course I do
Misty: Oh really? (turns to Brenna and raises a eyebrow)
Misty: then what's Date #4s name
Brenna: I-um..its-
Brenna: Listen I know there names, I just can't remember them right now. (Brenna says with
crossed arms)
Misty: I never said that you didn't.
Brenna: Oh shut up. (Rolls eyes)
(Misty snickers)
Brenna: I'm pretty sure one of their names was Steven. (crosses arms)
Misty: No, I'm pretty sure that's the name of our mail deliver.
Brenna: No it was Steven. Im 150% sure.
Misty: Hum ok.
(Phone rings, on the screen it says V-Date #4, Misty and Brenna both make eye contact at the
same time and both dive for the phone, Misty makes it there first and answers the phone.)
Misty: Hi this is misty a friends of Brenna's, is this Steven.
(Brenna is trying to get the phone away from Misty. Mumbles can be heard from the phone)
Misty: Oh this is Marvin, My bad.
Misty: Do you want to talk to Brenna? You do? Well of course, actually she right here.
(Brennas signaling to misty and going sh!)
Misty: Its for you. (smiles and tries holding back her laughter.)
(Brenna graves the phone out of Misty's hand and gives her a death glare)
Brenna: Oh hey, Marvin wh- oh, well no I-no shes not the bright- Of course I have you as
Marvin Marvin C-ca- Cavona! In my phone. Oh Marvin, dont be silly.
(Misty continues to hold in her laughter and Brenna stares at her rolling her eye and mouthing
words at her.)
Brenna: Humhum yah wow I can't believe that- Oh really? Omg no way
(20 minutes later)
Misty: (whispers) Brenna when are you gonna get off the phone. We should get going.
Brenna: (covers the microphone and whispers back) Well we could have already been gone by
now but someone had to answer the phone and make me talk to steven.
Misty: Marvin! (whispers)
(brenna accidentally takes her hand off the microphone)
Brenna: I meant Marvin!
(mufflers voice)
Brenna: Oh what sorry, yes i'm still here.
Brenna: Oh humm.. Yha hey listen Marv- Oh well I actually-
(Brenna Is so annoyed up to this point she is just over marvin and wants to get off the phone)
Brenna: Marvin I have to go goodbye and don't ever call me again!
(Misty is practically on the floor laughing uncontrollably, Brenna the looka at Misty. There is a
silent pause between the both of them and then they both erupt into laughter)
Brenna: (shakes her head) I will actually kill you.
Misty: what at least you got to know date #4. (smiles)
Misty: So how was he? Was he Mr.Right? (giggles)
Brenna: He must be the most a
Misty: really that bad!
(Misty whispers)
Misty: even worse than you know who, from high school?!
Brenna: YES!
Brenna: I didn't think it was possible but I found someone even more self absorbed. (rolls eyes)
MIsty: Alright well why don't we head out now.
Brenna: Yes please I'm in some desperate need of some fun. Just after being on the phone for 20
mins with marvin drained me.
