MATH1277 will provide you with an in-depth knowledge of topics in Calculus and

Linear Algebra and show applications in interdisciplinary contexts through


lectures and exercises.
The mathematical problem solving skills that you will develop are generic
problem solving skills, based on logical arguments that can be applied in
multidisciplinary work. You will develop your communication skills through active
participation in tutorials, and by writing clear, logical arguments when solving
problems.
2. Critical thinking and problem solving: Our graduates will be critical thinkers
and effective problem solvers. You should be able to identify and research issues
in business situations, analyse the issues, and propose appropriate and well-
justified solutions.
a) If you have received an offer but havent accepted, you can defer your
program start date as part of the online acceptance process.
b) If you have accepted your offer but have not enrolled in courses and wish to
defer, you should submit an Admissions Enquiry Form so that our Admissions
Office can process the request.
c) If you have already enrolled in one or more courses and wish to defer, you can
apply for Program Leave via your myUNSW account. This request must be
submitted before the census date for your commencing semester.
