A1. The company L’Oreal is the leading cosmetic company in the world. L’Oreal
mainly deals in beauty business, but as per my report the company is extending
its kid’s product line to Baby kit which is comprised of Baby bath gowns, Baby talc,
Baby oil, Baby hair oil, Baby soap, Baby lotion and Baby cream.

The core values of the company are like quest for excellence for which L’Oreal
has been trying to captivate interests for the brand portfolio by innovating the
products and meeting all standards sets for quality and safety. Their passion for
new innovations and experiments is another set of values. Understanding the
cultural diversity of different nations & groups, customers and employers, has
helped the company to meet their demand and needs. Continuous innovation is
one of the most important values of the company which makes it different from
other and is also responsible for strong brand image in the world. The company
has been providing wide range of quality products and effective services to the
customer which has helped the company in meeting the expectations of the
stakeholders. So I can say that these are some of the sources through which
company tries to create its value. L’Oreal always keeps in mind the above values
before the launch of any new product.

The reasons for trusting L’Oreal are- Company has a passion for innovating the
existing products and discovering different new products with great zeal.
Following this, company’s R&D department, which has proved itself as a leading
innovator in beauty segment, plays a major role before the launch of any new
product. Last but not the least, the company’s strong brand image and glamorous
outlook convinced me to choose L’Oreal for my research work.

The sample of advert is effectively prepared that depicts all the values and
extended kid’s product line through eye-catching images & logos.

A3. My expectation from the beginning of this module was to acquire knowledge
about marketing subject and marketing skills. After acquiring some experience
while studying as a student, I discovered that marketing subject as a whole
includes lots of marketing strategies and tools. I studied a lot about marketing mix
i. e 4p’s product, price, place and promotion and understood about their proper
application. I also studied marketing strategies of the company, the new product
development strategy of the company, what steps company undertook before the
launch of new product and marketing research techniques such as segmentation,
targeting and positioning. Segmentation and targeting helped me to find out the
potential customers, about their lifestyles, attitude, loyalty and usage rate of the
product. Positioning on the other hand helped me to find out the customer’s
perceptions about the product. These new concepts broaden my perspective on
the application of marketing strategies in the business world to achieve results.

A4. My experience after attending the classes also gave me a general but practical
overview of all the marketing concepts. It was a set up of marketing activities that
enabled me to employ these concepts in different segments for the launch of new
product and at the same time managing the internal and external environment.
