CPR AWARENESS DAY -60 SEC LIVE RADIO SPOT

*Talent: Chino and Val Steele from 104.7 KDUK*

*Beating heart sound that slowly gets quieter when Chino starts
talking*

Chino: Did you know that cardiac arrest is a leading cause of death in
the United States? Each year, more than 350,000 out-of-hospital
cardiac arrests occur in the United States, and almost 90 percent of
people who suffer from cardiac arrests die. CPR, especially if performed
in the first few minutes of cardiac arrest, can double or triple a
persons chance of survival.

Val Steele: The Eugene City Hospital is teaming up with the Lane
County Chapter of the American Red Cross and joining a nationwide
campaign to train and certify one million people in the U.S. in CPR and
first aid by years end.

Chino: Join us on Saturday, May 20 from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. at Alton

Baker Park for a free life-saving certification class. Thats a $75
savings! This class is open to residents 14 or older.
