Applications

Generally applied as a refinery product with all-purpose functions focused on improving production efficiency. IPA
can be used in foamed fracturing fluids and gelled oil-fracturing fluids to remove paraffin deposits, break water
blocks, water-wet formation fines and other needs. It also reduces absorption of surfactants in the near-wellbore
area. In short, IPA has many advantages oriented to a range of oilfield requirements.

Limitations

Should not be mixed with strong oxidizers such as GBW-5 or Ultra Perm CRB because of the danger of fire.
Mixing of isopropanol or methanol with emulsion products like FR-28, B-14 or Acigel may cause these products to
phase-separate prematurely.
