Duolingo App (free app available on iTunes)

This is a fun, free app that students could use for independent practice and vocabulary building.
There are visuals, fill in the blanks questions, and written responses. The app speaks and
correctly pronounces the words for the students.

Heads Up App ($1.39 on iTunes)

This app could be used to help support vocabulary building in the classroom as well as promote
oral language skills. The guesser must guess the mystery word from the clues all the other
players provide. This game helps students build speaking confidence and encourages them to
use adjectives, synonyms and antonyms. Games are a great way to have fun in the classroom
while learning at the same time.
