It is my pleasure to recommend Roger Brannon for a position in your school/district. I

have had the opportunity to work with Roger at Carver Community School in Des
Moines, Iowa, since August of 2014.

As a teacher, Roger is dedicated to his students. During his career, Roger has taught
students in several grades at the elementary level. He has worked to understand the
varied needs of the learners in his classroom, and to address those needs while
encouraging his students to become independent thinkers. His students respond
positively to his efforts.

Roger is a team player. He collaborates regularly with the members of his grade level
team to address students needs and to investigate strategies to improve academic
achievement. He currently serves as his grade level representative on our building
Advisory Team. Roger is a teacher with our Extended Learning after-school tutoring
program. He is a willing worker on our staff!

Roger is dedicated to honing his skills as an educator. Throughout his years with the
Des Moines Public School District, he has participated in staff development
opportunities at both the building and district levels. Roger is in the second year of his
Masters Degree program, and he is interested in pursuing school leadership
opportunities.
