To Whom it may concern:

I am writing on behalf of my daughter, Ava Herzig, who is a student in Mrs. Lenhardts third
grade class at Our Lady Star of the Sea. When Ava first started in the third grade, I was
worried about her progress as a student. Ava, while being a smart girl, sometimes lacks focus
in the classroom. After the first week of third grade and witnessing Mrs. Lenhardt in action,
my fears subsided dramatically.

Mrs. Lenhardt could have been a strict disciplinarian, but through her passion for teaching,
she has enabled Ava to grow not only as a student, but as a wonderful little girl. Ava is more
focused than ever and actually enjoys learning. Somehow Mrs. Lenhardt has pulled off a
miracle. I am not sure if this little miracle can be attributed to Mrs. Lenhardts fantastic
organization in the classroom, her sunny demeanor, or her absolute attention to every student
in her class. Whether it was one or a combination of all the things she did, she helped my
child. I can honestly say that Ava has profited greatly for having Mrs. Lenhardt as a teacher.
