THE REASON WHY I TAKE THIS STORY

I think this Story Telling is one of many stories that interest me and have a moral message that we can
learn in life

THE LION AND THE MOUSE 1

One day a Lion slept in the jungle. A tiny mouse ran over the Lions head and down his nose. The
Lion awoke with a loud roar. He was very angry. His paw caught the little mouse. The Lion opened
his huge jaws to swallow the mouse Pardon me. O King, I beg of you. Cried the frightened mouse.
If you forgive me this time, i will never forget your kindness. I meant no harm and I certainly didnt
want to disturb your majesty. If you let me stay a live, I can do you a good turn, too. The Lion began
to laugh. He laughed and laughed. How could a tiny creature like you ever do anything to help me ?
And he shook with laughter. Oh well, he shrugged, looking down at the frightened mouse, youre
not so much of a meal anyway. Then, he released his paw from the mouse and the mouse quickly ran
away. Some time after this, some hunters, tried to capture the Lion alive. They set up rope nets in the
jungle. The Lion fell in to the trap. He roared and thras hed. His thunderous bellows sent through the
jungle. The tiny mouse heard the Lions roars. That may be the Lion who once freed me he said
remembering his promise. And he ran to see whether he could help. Discovering the sad Lion, the
mouse said to him Stop, stop ! you must not roar. If you make so much noise, the hunters will come
and capture you. Ill get you out of this trap With his shalp little teeth, the mouse gnawed at the ropes
until they broke. The Lion stepped out of the het and was free. The mouse said. Now, wa i not right ?
Thank you, good mouse, Said Lion gently. You did help me. I see now that kindness is always
worth while,.

Once upon a time,


a lion was sleeping under a tree.
A little mouse jumped on him.
The lion woke up, picked up the mouse,
and opened his mouth to eat him.
Im sorry to wake you up.
Please dont eat me.
I can help you one day. said the mouse.
Thats funny! Okay, Ill let you go. said the lion.
Later, a hunters net fell on the lion.
The lion couldnt get out.
The mouse saw the lion and ran to help.
The mouse helped the lion get out!
You are a little mouse, but you are a big help.
Thank you! said the lion.

One day a lion was resting in the forest. He was sleeping and leaning his body under a tree. Then a mouse
ran toward the lion without seeing him asleep in front of him. He was bumping the lions face so hard that
made him awake.
The lion woke up and mad at him, Woaahhh, how dare you disturb my sleep? Then the lion caught the
mouse. Im sorry my king! I accidentally hit you! He said. I will eat you because you have wakened
me up! cried the lion.
Please! Do not eat me my king; I will reply your kindness someday if you let me go! Beg the mouse.
Hearing what was said by the mouse, the lion laugh out loud, HHaaaa you will repay my kindness? How
can a little creature like you can help me! He said. Then He looked at the mouse who was frightened.
Well since youve made me laugh, Ill let you go. Moreover, you cannot make me satisfied said the
Lion while releasing the mouse.
After he let him go, the mouse ran and said, I will not forget your kindness. Thank you . Then he was
back into the forest. One day the lion was caught by hunters trap. He was trapped in a net installed by
hunter. The lion was struggling trying to escape from the net. But all of his efforts were useless because
the net was too strong. Then he was screaming for help Please, save me! the lion cried.
The mouse that was foraging in the forest heard lion screams. That is lion. Seemed he is in trouble now.
I have to help him said the mouse. Soon afterward he went to lion. When he got there, he saw a lion that
had trapped helpless in hunters nets. Hey, do not be afraid, Ill help you escape from this bondage said
the mouse. What? You want to save me? Dont be kidding said the lion. Then the mouse was climbing
to the top of the net and began biting rope nets one by one with his sharp teeth. The lion, who initially did
not believe, surprised to see what he did.
After a while the ropes broken and the lion could get out of the entanglement nets, Thank you! My little
friend, you have freed me. I do not think you can do it said the lion. You are welcome my friend. I had
promised to repay your kindness someday so I did it replied the mouse. After that they were always
together and became good friends in the forest.

Once when a lion, the king of the jungle, was asleep, a little mouse began running up and down
on him. This soon awakened the lion, who placed his huge paw on the mouse, and opened his big jaws to
swallow him.
Pardon, O King! cried the little Mouse, Forgive me this time. I shall never repeat it and I shall
never forget your kindness. And who knows, I may be able to do you a good turn one of these days!
The Lion was so tickled by the idea of the mouse being able to help him that he lifted his paw and
let him go.
Sometime later, a few hunters captured the lion, and tied him to a tree. After that they went in
search of a wagon, to take him to the zoo.
Just then the little mouse happened to pass by. On seeing the lions plight, he ran up to him and
gnawed away the ropes that bound him, the king of the jungle.
Was I not right? said the little mouse, very happy to help the lion.
