Site Manager
Organise pre-construction meetings with contractors and arrange for preparation of construction
site
Monitor the progress against the Contractor(s) schedule and report to Owner
Conduct daily meetings to coordinate interfaces and review progress.
Review and approval of all contractor submittals including shop drawings, method statements,
materials samples, inspection test plans, etc
Issue site instructions, manage time and cost effects.
Inspect on-going works and manage non-conformities in safety and quality.
Quality control of materials, techniques and workmanship
Manage Quality control documents to comply with Quality project management plan
Inspection and acceptance installation, testing, commissioning works
Review and compliance with statutory and contract requirements
Provide or obtain building hand over documentation including:
Operation and maintenance manuals
As-Built Drawings
Warranty certificates for materials and equipment
Statutory documentation
Taking over certificates
Final account certificates
Attend inspections from authorities related to final statutory approvals
1.3 Job Requirement
Experience:
This role covers chief engineers engaged to manage specific construction areas, eg, CSA engineers,
and coordination role with MEP Buildings Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Safety officer, The Owners
Operation team.
Assist the Site Manager with tasks delegated by the Site Manager
Promote a safe working environment.
Provide assistance to the Site Manager within their respective assigned areas and in other areas if
required
Follow site and project protocols when accessing operational or construction work areas.
Manage the area construction based activities
Ensure the Site Manager is kept informed of issues and concerns that could impact the Clients
operation, and that they have advised the Client.
Oversee compliance with specified quality standards and ensure the progressive collation of
quality verification records required for Hand-Over.
Proactively manage and report to the Site Manager on the status of safety, quality, progress,
schedule and cost of the construction activities.
Lead day-to-day construction planning discussions, ensure Contractor planning is submitted,
reviewed, maintained and reflected in actual activities.
Assist with the review and approval of all contractor submittals including shop drawings, method
statements, materials samples, inspection & test plans, etc
Manage quality control of materials, techniques and workmanship:
Inspection and approval of materials delivered to site.
Inspect work of laboratory or field test
Inspection of onsite preparative works prior to installation
Inspection of offsite works
Inspection and acceptance of installation, testing and commissioning works
Monitor and report construction planning and scheduling
Witness and validate commissioning of building services and equipment
Monitor the clearance of outstanding works and defects
Make final inspections and arrange for the resolution of remaining defects
Assist the Owner during initial occupation period and provide general advice on operation and
maintenance
