CLASSXIIPERFORMANCEBASEDELIGIBILITYCRITERIA



AsoutlinedintheInformationBrochure,acandidatemust:

(1) be within the categorywise top 20percentile of successful candidates in the
respectiveClassXII(orequivalent)boardexamination;OR

(2) havesecuredatleast75%aggregatemarksintheClassXII(orequivalent)Board
examination.TheaggregatemarksforSC,STandPwDcandidatesmustbeatleast
65%.

Themarksscoredinthefollowingfivesubjectswillbeconsideredforcalculatingthe
aggregatemarksandthecutoffmarksforfulfillingthetop20percentilecriterion:
(1) Physics, (2) Chemistry, (3) Mathematics, (4) a language (if the candidate has
takenmorethanonelanguage,thenthelanguagewiththehighermarkswill
beconsidered),and(5)anysubjectotherthantheabovefour(thesubjectwiththe
highermarkswillbeconsidered).


IfthemarksawardedinasubjectisNOToutof100,thenthemarkswillbescaled
(upordown)to100sothatthetotalaggregatemarksisoutof500.


Categorywise top 20percentile cutoff marks for the years 2016 and 2017 are
enclosed here, which are applicable for candidates who completed Class XII in the
years2016and2017,respectively.

IfacandidatepassesClassXIIin2016butwritesoneorafewsubjectsin2017for
improvement or any other reason, then top 20 percentile cutoff for 2016 will be
considered.However,ifacandidatewritesallthesubjectsin2017,thebestofthe
