fea sibola Topee Research Title: / A study (0 investigate thef impact of Reward and Recognition Strategies on team member efcency |, Background to the Study: Le MMM Hotel Club, a recently refurbished resort in thei coast of Mauritius has 182 rooms, 3 restaurants, 3 bars, 3 pools, a conference room, a gym and a spa. ‘The researcher occupies the post of General Manager of this resort and surrounded by 181 team members From recent verbal and informal feedback from the team members, it seems that there are many employees who are not happy with the Reward and Recognition strategies, ‘The above feedback has motivated the student to undertake a thorough research to investigate how the current Reward and Recognition strategies in place at the hotel are affecting the level of the team members’ efficiency, so as to determine the strengths and the weaknesses with a view to improve the Reward and Recognition of the team members and in so doing they may feel more committed to their work thus creating a high morale, improve their productivity which in the long term can generate more income and improve guests satisfaction. Problem Statement: The purpose of this study is to explore the existing Reward and Recognition strategies employed by Le[IEEEE Hote! Club to determine its impact on team members’ efficiency so as to come up with recommendations that will improve or strengthen employees? commitment at work thereby enabling them to deliver a better quality service to hotel guests for them to visit the hotel more frequently Aim of this study: ‘The aim of this study is to assess the impact of Reward and Recognition strategies at the hotel on team members’ efficiency at work.
