Course Description
This course will cover the differences and similarities between CS3000 and CENTUM VP.
It consists of a series of lectures, demonstrations, laboratory exercises, and question and answer
sessions designed to educate the student in the new design and functions of the HIS station,
graphics, and trend windows.

Duration
4 to 6 hours

Objectives/Outcomes
Upon completing this course, the learner will be able to exhibit the ability to:

o Identify and interact with all the standard display panels

o Practice with HIS Builders
o Design Trend Windows
o Design Graphic Windows (Custom Face Plate)

Intended Audience
All plant personnel whom are responsible for the configuration and/or maintenance of a CENTUM
VP system. This course is also the prerequisite for the Foundation Fieldbus Engineering course.

Course Prerequisites
o CS 3000 Essentials & System Operation
or
o CS 3000 System Operation

Technical Requirements
o Basic knowledge of controlling a process
o Basic file/folder manipulation in a Windows environment
