ASSIGNMENT 3: DEMOSTRATIVE SPEECH

Ingredients

1 Tablespoon Margarine

1 Tablespoon Pop Corn Kernels

2 Tablespoons Sugar

Equipment

Gas Stove, Plate, Wok, Wok spatula, Tablespoon

Steps

1) Prepare all the ingredients.


2) Preheat the wok over high heat.
3) Add 1 tablespoon margarine and wait it to melt.
4) Put 1 tablespoon pop corn kernels into the margarine.
5) Quickly cover the wok when one of the pop corn kernels start pop,.
6) Open back the cover of wok when there no more sound of popping of the popcorn
kernels.
7) Turn off the heat and then remove all the popcorn from the wok and set them aside on
a plate first.
8) Add 2 tablespoons of sugar into the wok over low heat.
9) Stir it constantly until it melts completely into liquid form.
10) Then, turn off the heat and pour in all the popcorn into it.
11) Stir it frequently until all the popcorn are coated evenly with sugar.
12) Serve it after it cool down.

Time needed for cooking popcorn kernels: 3 minutes

Time needed for melting sugar coating: 4 minutes

Total time needed: 7 minutes

Estimated cost

50g of Margarine: Rm1.20

100g Popcorn kernels: RM 2.00

500g Sugar: Rm1.50

Total cost: Rm4.70

Remark: Above is minimum buying quantity at grocery shop

Conclusion

In conclusion, Popcorn is really easy to prepare. Furthermore, it is cheaper to prepare on own


than buying from outside. The required sweetness taste also can be adjust based on own
preference.
