Bring me to. My summer dreams.

Traffic jams. Pictures of tanned legs. Airport check-ins. Spiced-up lemon juices. Summer readings. Lighter
clothes. Yes, it looks like summer has definitely kicked-in.

While many people have already planned every single detail of their entire summer, yours truly is still in
the process of booking his next travels. Admittedly, according to societal habits this should be done six
months in advance. True, I could have at least if keeping habits unchanged woud be my modus vivendi.

Personally, I would rather say that everyone has his or her own dynamic. Some travel with their family,
other synchronise with friends. Some are counting down every year to July 1st to rush to the mountains,
while others spent 3+ weeks at their favourite beach. I am a combination of each of the above and tend
to include the after-summer months in my window of opportunity. Hence the extra room for flexibility.

So far, my preferred destinations for the mid-summer are fixed - at least those on top of others that are
always on my radar. While some additional options for later escapades are popping-up, however, my
reflections and flight schedules fade away. I start thinking about road trips and highway cruising.

Dont get me wrong. I am not wondering if I should discover small villages, white beaches and wooden
promenades with one of the Fast & Furious beasts or an authentic VW Type 2 camper. Neither am I
wondering whether the Rosso Competizione-red Alfa Stelvio would be better to enjoy the Italian hills or
rather the Blu Passione-colored Maserati Levante objective opinions are welcome though.

Nope. As I have been immerged in the ecosystem of Autonomous Driving and Artificial Intelligence
through professional projects of the last year, my reflections are more related to the ultimate road
experience I would be willing to trade for the flight hopping habits.

As a driver or as a passenger in a relatively autonomous car technically called Level 3, 4 or (the ultimate)
level 5 travelling will be completely different. True, traffic jams dont disappear by magic; neither do
roads shrink because of technology. But the journey, as such, will be much richer.

Besides increased safety and ultra-optimised driving times, there will be stimulating massages, a person-
specific interior climate, interactivity adapted to the users digital literacy, dedicated relaxation and health
advice, no travel illness, on-demand frosted multimedia windows. Hotel check-ins will be done in real-time
by your car, as well as anticipative proposals for personalised experiences and activities. Adaptive
acoustics will understand when to boost or soften the interaction with other passengers. And, obviously,
driver and passengers will have the ultimate powernap experience, allowing everyone to arrive fit and
relaxed at their destination, 24/7, and no matter if you are on your own, with two, or more.

It all sounds perfect. It will be, at some point. But enough dreaming for now its time for me to confirm
those last details. Some travel treats are for now and others will be kept for future or futuristic
moments, for sure. But dreams are healthy. And either way, quality time should prevail during holidays,
no matter the season, destination or vehicle.

Dear friends, I dont know what your plans are car cruising, beach holidays, airport hopping, homey
family moments, arousing retreats, seasonal refurbishments or cocooning in the garden. But lets all
make them special and personal, no matter what others expect it to be.

Happy summer to all. Looking forward to hear, read or see you - with or without sexy supercar.
