Description

First EFI engine in the market for consumer tractors. Provide best in class performance
output at 25hp.
Closed loop EFI for added fuel savings and reduced emissions.
Keep speed overshoots under 200rpm during transient loading to meet safety critical blade
tip speed standards in this market.
Starts within first 10sec crank from -20F to 120F ambient temperature.
Launch with a strategic partner that can introduce EFI in this market segment.

At least $25 less than similar competitor engines


Engine should achieve 90,000 units/year production volume in three years.
Should provide 1.2, 1.5 and 2 PI after the first, second and third years of the launch
respectively.
The required investment must be directly aligned with a cost savings or innovative product
feature related to the launch of the 6000 series. If there are investments required for related
products, the benefits have to be clearly separated and stated.

Accentuate company's brand reputation in consumer engines market.


Engine should have 2000hr life as opposed to the current 1500hr lifespan of competitor
engines.
Provide 3 year warranty on the engine.

30% reduction in vibration compared to competitor engines.


Provide ECU controlled silent operating mode for use in residential areas
Provide Bluetooth enabled phone app for diagnostics, service and part order.
Provide built in ignition lock using phone app.

Engine should be in line with the Carbon Neutral 2035 goal.


Engine should be sold with the free end of life recycling plan.
Engine should be ready to meet the next tier of EPA regulations to be launched in 2020.
Engine should meet California emission certification.

Engine should adhere to company's design standards, branding and engine stylizing.
Engine package should be versatile enough to able to adopt to applications such are lawn
tractors, ZTRs, generators and snow blowers.
