Desiree Tedder has been completed and has been forwarded to Governor Rick Scott's office for processing. Ms. Tedder was previously arrested in the State of Massachusetts on a charge of Second Degree Murder. Once this packet is approved by Governor Scotts office, it will be sent to officials in Massachusetts for additional processing. A copy of this Extradition Packet has also been provided to the District Attorney's Office in Massachusetts that has been involved in this proceeding. Once this processing is completed, Ms. Tedder will be returned to the State of Florida | for prosecution. | Attached to this Press Release is a copy of the Swom Affidavit describing the facts of this case prepared in support of the Application for Extradition. Schiller, here being first duly sworn, deposes and say under oat That |, Joseph A. Schiller, am over the age of 18 years, a resident of the state of Florida, emancipated and competent to duly take an oath. ‘That in my capacity as Assistant State Attorney in Escambia County Florida, | had the opportunity to investigate the criminal offense for which the pefson is charged and during the course of my investigation, | obtained the following facts: (On 04/02/2017, Officer Christopher Grantham, employed by the Pensacola Police Department, made ‘contact with Deborah Stallworth in refers to a missing person report at 2118 West Larua Street . Stallworth explained that her nephew, Drulmauert Mims, had not been seen or heard from since 03/29/2017. _D, Stallworth explained that Mims vehicle, a slver Cadilac CTS FL: HFZK20, was found on (04/01/2017 at approximately 0330 hours by friend and family members in the area of Lakewood Drive. D. Stallworth said she went fo that location and observed Mims vehicle on the side of the road and it was ‘unoccupied, doors unlocked, and no keys present. Mims was last seen wearing a white t-shit, blue jeans, and grey Nike shoes. Deborah Stalvert called the Escambia County Sherif’s Office and requested them to respond to Lakewood Drive. D. Stalworth said she explained the situation to the Sheriffs Office deputies in regards to D, Mims being missing and this is where the vehicle was found, D. Staworth explained the deputies told her there was nothing they could do and she should have the vehicle towed back to her residence, which she did. Deborah Stalworth was also concemed because Mims sold illegal narcotles and he supposedly had a large amount of cesh and legal drugs on 02/30/2017. D. Officer Grantham, with the essistance of KlaasKIDS search and rescue searched the area of Lakewood Drive and Broadmoor Lane, 700 Truman ‘Avenue, and 100 Redwood Circle with negative results. L. Stallworth had previously told Officer Grantham affiant about two ols that Mims was talking to on Sullivan Street. L. Stallworth explained again that Mims was seeing the two girls at a house on Sullivan Road and they were drug users and Mims ‘supplied them with drugs. On 04/08/2017, thar discovered that Desires Tedder and Limary Rodriguez were both shot at the residence of Jand received non-(fe threatening injuries. This address is in Escambia County Sheriffs Ofice jurisdiction. According to their police report, Rodriguez end Tedder ‘explained an unknown black male shot them, Rocriguez and Tedder stated in that report they had seen the black male before with ‘Drew’, According to the report, Rodriguez and Tedder seid Drew, lr house ovemight on 03/29/2017 into 03/30/2017. They aiso provided a phone number of for Drew. The phone nuimber belonged to our vii, Drulmauert Mims. Officer (n 04/07/2017, Tedder and Rodriguez arrived In New Bediord, Massachusetts by bus and checked themsetves in at a local hospital for ther gunshot wounds, At the hospital, Tedder was arrested for felony nareotios possession by the New Bedford Police Department. Tedder was in possession of approximately ‘6.9 ounces of marjuana, 8 suspected Xanax pile, and 25 suspected Ecstasy pils that were found in her backpack. Tedder told Detective Lopes with the New Bedford Police Department that she purchased the ‘marijuane for 60.00 dollars at a bus stop in Alabama, the Xanax she got ftom her grandmother, and the other pills (suspected Ecstasy) she did not know anything about them being In her backpack, n 04/07/2017, Officer Grantham was contacted by Detective Lopes. Officer Grantham explalned {0 Detective Lopes the missing person case of Mims and we belleve Mims was murdered. Detective Lopes ‘again interviews Tedder and asked Her about D. Mlms. Tedder explained that Mims stayed the night on 09/29/2017 into 03/80/2017 at Tedder sald she went to bed at approximately 0500 hours and Mims was stl at the residence, Tedder sald when she awoke later that day Mims was not at the residence anymore. It should be noted that Mims vehicle was frst seen parked on Lakewood Drive on 03/30/2017 at ‘approximately 0520 hours, Baseci on several witness statements, the vehiote remained at that location until tha family recovered it on 04/08/2017. ‘The location the vehicle was recovered on Lakewood Drive is approximately three blocks from is not typioal-for2-crug-user-but consistent with the amount-a-drug dealer would possess. Ofcer Grantham informed Detective Lopes to collect Teds cellular phone as evidence based 6 the following facts: Tedder and Rodriguez were the last people to see Mims, bah reporting being shot shortly after he was reported missing, both leaving the area and traveling to Massachusetts after Hims was Feported missing, and Tesder in possession ofa large amount of narcotics, which Officer Grantham knows Officer Grantham tried numerous tes o contact Recriguez by phone with negative resuts. Officer Grantham spoke to Tedde’s mother, Ashlee Beaulleu, by phone, Beaulieu explained Tedder fs a drug addict and uses heroine. Beaulieu sed she does not know Tedders location and she would be dificult fo locate, (On 08/08/2017, Officer Grantham traveled to New Bedford, Massachusetts to locate Lizmary Rodriguez and Desiree Tedder. Rotriguez had a court date of 08/06/2017 in Naw Bedford County Court ‘as did Tedder on 06/07/2017. Oficer Grantham went to the court house In New Becford to await Rodriguez. Rodriguez did not appoar In court and neither did Tedler on the following day. Both had warrents Issued for their arrest by the loval jurisdiction for falure to appear. On 06/06/2017, with the assistance of New Bodford Police Department, Offer Grantham went to numerous addresses in an attempt to lovato Tedder and Rodriguez with negative results, (On 06/08/2017, Oficer Grantham reviewed the evidence collected from Tedder when she arrived in New Bedford, Massachusetts on 04/07/2017, There was approximately 6.9 ounces of marijuana that was packaged individually, 25 pills (some crushed) of suspected Ecstasy, and 8 plls of suspected Xanex. The. ‘marijuana was a high-grade marijuana, whlch Officer Grantham recognized as such based on training and experience, The approximate street value of those narcotics is between $2,000 - $8,000 dolls. Detective Lopes said Tedder told him she purchased the narcotie for 60.00 dollars ata bus stop in Alabama. Officer Grantham contacted Lamesa Stallvorth, D. Mims sister, by phone and asked L, Stallworth \what narcotics was Mims seling before he went missing. L. Stallworth specifically sald large quantities of ‘marluana, Eostasy, and Xanax. Officer Grantham boieved Tedder’ statements that she paid 60.00 dolars for the marijuana is false based on tho streat value of 6.9 ounces of high-grade marijuana to be approximatoly $2,000 dollar, He knows from training end experience itis not normal fora street-level narcotics user to be in possession ‘of that much narcotics, Officer Grantham also belioves based on statements provided by L. Stallvorth that ‘he narootics belonged fo D. Mims. ‘The cellular phone that belonged to Tedder, a while LG celluler phone aemtey ‘wes collected by Officer Grantham ftom the New Bedford Police Department and brought back to the Pensacola Police Depaitment on 06/12/2017. A search warrant was completed on the above cellular phone ‘and Iwas signed by Judge Robinson on 08/13/2017. Forensic software was then used to extract data from the cellular phone in a forensically sound matter by Detective Chad Wilhite. Officer Grantham then reviewed the data collected from the Tedder’s cellular phone, On 03/28/2017, three diffarent online message boards were visited. The topic of the message boards were as ‘follows: "Can a 2-lter bottle really work as a gun sliencer’, ‘mufling a GUNSHOT”, and ‘Does placing = pillow in ront of gun work asa sliencer’. Officer Grantham also located fve different Google searches with the following questions: "quiet shooting’, “Make a Suppressor’, “guns for beginners when can you shoot someone’, “plow silencer actualy work’, and "things people’ get wrong silencers.” These five Google ‘searches from Tedder’ cellular phone did not display a date or time. The cellular phone web browser history shows mutiple visits to different rental car websites until 04/04/2017. On 04/04/2017, the cellular phone web browser history ‘showed multiple visits to Greyhound to purchase bus tickets and Expedia Travel for Aline Tickets to Boston, Massachusetts 07 0402/2017, at 10:28 AM, atoxt message rom QJADMGMIND is r2ceived on Tedier’s cellular pphone, The text message read "Hey! This is shariee from down the street! We are about to start getting ready fo leave but your welcome to use the barrel in the back but my husband said he wouldn't attempt fo rove it without a doy. Officer Grantham siso observed a photo of three 5 gallon containers of an unknown substance, the photo was not clear enough {o read the labels of the pontainere, There was also a photo of what appears tobe the inside of a Home Depot Store. None of the photos Ilsted dleplayed a dato fo determine when they photo was taken.
