The original Minority Mindset account was started

in September, 2015.
By December 2015 we had grown to 17,900

followers. But, unfortunately, our account was
hacked into and we lost ALL of our followers.
We had to start @MinorityMindset again from

scratch so here are a few tips to help secure your
account.

2. Have more than just an Instagram page, build a brand. When
we were hacked, we had less than 100 YouTube subscribers and about
150 Facebook followers.

gram account, at least you will be able to reach your audience from a
second platform

REPOSTING
IMAGES
Direct Message (DM) Instagram users with a similar # of followers.

Tell them you want to repost one their images and you would
appreciate it if they did the same.
If you are looking for rapid growth, do 1- 4 reposts a day.
Download the app Repost and give the other user a shout out.
Dont forget to tag the page on the photo, this way their followers
can see that they are tagged in your post
This method is called shout for shout or s4s it exposes your
brand to a whole different audience and can help you grow fast

HASHTAGS
A
fter each post, put 20-25 hashtags
in the FIRST COMMENT! Dont put
them in the post, it will look like spam.
Search Instagrams tags to make sure
the hashtag is popular (10,000+ posts)
Use hashtags like #ShareForShare or
#S4S and #Follow4Follow or #F4F
If you agree to do a shout for shout with
another Instagram user, make sure you
follow through with your end of the bar-
gain. Dont lose your credibility amongst
Instagram influencers.

Make Instagram Friends!
Engage with Instagram users on

Follow the users. Dont
follow too fast or you

Instagram stories
Instagram are a great way

to teach your
followers about
Stories your brand.
Use your Instagram posts to share your polished and

edited content.
Your Instagram stories can be used to show behind
the scenes, raw, content.
Its very effective in building trust with your followers.
If you have a link in your biography, you can tell the
viewers of your story to swipe up to see the link or
you can tell them to swipe up to send you a direct
message.
Dont post the same content on your Instagram wall
and in your story. That is boring!

This is a great way to get a lot of followers
quick. Ask accounts with a similar
number of followers to do a shout out in
return for a shout out.
Larger accounts will charge for a

shoutout. If you have the money, it is a
good way to gain followers quick. But
its not necessary.

Media
Dont post your content directly from Instagram onto Twitter or Facebook.
Spend the extra minute to go onto the second social media app to post the content.
When you post on Twitter from Instagram, the post will show up as a hyperlink rather
than an image.
Re-post the image onto Twitter and Facebook manually, and ask your followers to
follow your Instagram page.
Cross promote your brand on multiple-platforms, the goal isnt to have an Instagram
following, it is to build a brand!
