The Western Arts Alliance is dedicated to
promoting the presentation of the performing Vancouver, British Columbia
arts through the western states and provinces Seattle, Washington
The Council for Canadian American Relations
seeks to promote awareness and appreciation
of the arts in the US and Canada to strengthen
the bonds between the two countries.
The Canada Council for the Arts has a Theatre
Touring and Special Initiatives Program that
provides grants to support theatre touring in
Canada. Research Questions
1) What can be done to further collaboration in
theatre between the US and Canada?
Research Methods 2) What levels of collaboration already exist?
3) What barriers (cultural, political) are there to
Literature Review collaboration?
Field Work 4) What are the differences in dramatic literature,
Case Study theatrical style, and culture? How do these
Arts Based Research differences or similarities affect bringing
Canadian plays to the US and vice versa?
