7SJ45 Handbuch Wartung
1.10 Wartung
Hinweis!
Das Gert 7SJ45 bedarf keiner Wartung.
Hinweis!
Schockbeanspruchungen entsprechend IEC 60 255211 Klasse 2
und IEC 60 255212 Klasse 1 sichergestellt werden. Vor der Rck-
sendung sollten alle Projektierungs- und Einstellparameter abgelesen
und protokolliert werden. Falls Einstellbrcken auf Leiterplatten gen-
dert wurden, sollten auch diese notiert werden.

Tripping test
DANGER!
This test is used to check the overall function of the device,
including the trip circuits. Connect the device to a secondary test
equipment for protective devices. Observe the safety
instructions!

circuited on the transformers themselves before the power When testing the device with secondary test equipment, make

Caution!
A load current of at least 80% the rated current is necessary to
activate the self-monitoring function of the device with single-
phase supply. The "RUN" LED must be on.
This test trips the circuit breaker. Tests with currents that exceed more

current above the set tripping threshold. The trip actuator or the
circuit breaker must be actuated.

If the current in your application is at least 80% of the rated
current, the green "RUN must be on. The red "ERROR" LED
must not be lit. With single-phase supply the 7SJ45-devices can
be fully utilized from input currents of 0.8 IN onwards.
If a test switch is available, it must be in the operating position.
The device is now ready for operation.

Manual 7SJ45 Maintenance
2.10 Maintenance
Note!
The 7SJ45 does not require any maintenance.
Note! Repaired devices are returned from the factory with all jumpers on the
printed circuit boards set in the original positions according to the
ordering number. All configuration and setting parameters have the
default setting.
Siemens strongly recommends that no repairs on defective devices or
boards are done. Special electronic components are used according
to the guidelines to ESD (Electrostatic Sensitive Devices). Most
importantly, special production techniques are necessary to avoid
damaging the wave-soldered multi-layer board, the sensitive
components, and the protective lacquer.
Defective devices should be returned to the manufacturer. The original
packaging material should be used for returning a device. If other
packaging material is used, then the device and other contents must
be provided with protection against shock according to
IEC 60255211 Class 2 and IEC 60255212 Class 1. Before
returning a device, retrieve and save all configuration and setting
parameters and any important information. Note any changes that
were made to the jumpers on the internal printed circuit boards after
the device was first delivered.

The set times are pure delay times. The device allows minimum setting values of 0.5 IN (three-phase supply).
With single-phase supply, please observe the minimum setting values of
0.8 IN (7SJ45XX-0*) or 1.3 IN (7SJ45XX-1*) printed on the front panel.
WARNING!
When setting the parameters, note that the maximum thermal overload
capability of the current path is 2 IN.
