Associates degree in a Health Information Technology program
Credentialed as RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC, CCP, or CCA
Able to abide by all federal and state laws related to health information technology and
health care organizations
Specialized knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT coding guidelines, medical
terminology, and anatomy and physiology
Demonstrate research skills including knowledge of automated analysis tools and on-line
research tools to resolve coding and healthcare issues
Demonstrate ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
