In late March 2016, the IPP bidding competition for Java-5 had narrowed to three IPPs, of
which only two were eligible to be evaluated: a Chinese consortium of undisclosed identity
and an Indonesian consortium

Consorsium PT Sumber Segara Prima Daya (SSPD), CNEC, & PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk.

On April 18, 2016, independent consultant PT Ernst and Young Indonesia announced to the
bidders without explanation that the bidding process was discontinued.

PLN President Director Sofyan Basir admitted, PLN ( use subsidiary : Indonesia
Power / IP ) will take over the project
