Letter of Recommendation for Scholarship

Dear ICCR Scholarship Committee:

Devjyoti Saha has requested that I write this letter on his behalf. I have known Devjyoti for two years in
my capacity as teacher at Notre Dame College. Devjyoti has been in my English classes.

Based on his grades, attendance, and class participation, I would rate Devjyotis academic performance
as superior. He is the type of student who always takes initiative to help out fellow students who may
not quite grasp the material. He is not one to back down from a challenge, either academic or personal.
He finishes what he starts and never lets adversity get him down.

I hold Devjyoti in the highest esteem, and recommend him for the ICCR scholarship. His combination of
academic achievement, charisma, and thoughtfulness make him an ideal candidate.
