TOPIC: TRUST IN THE LORD

TEXT: JEREMIAH 17:7-8

Introduction
We serve and worship a good God Who never disappoints those who put their trust in Him.
THOSE WHO TRUST IN THE LORD
1. They are the ones who always rise and shine like the sun.
2. They are the ones that the enemy bows to. They will always disgrace their enemies.
3. They are the ones that are most blessed.
4. They are the ones that always overcome tribulations and trials.
5. They are the ones that dont jump from one church to another; they remain firmly rooted wherever The Lord
has planted them.
6. They are the ones that always receive their desires from God.
7. They are the ones that can never be overcome by evil.
8. They are the ones that always look unto God and not man.
9. They are the ones used by God to teach and encourage others.
To trust in The Lord does not mean you will not face trials and challenges, but rather in every trial God
will always make your enemies to be smitten before you according to Deuteronomy 28:7. Just like every student
is required to write examinations before moving to the next class, we all have to write our individual exams
before being promoted. These examinations come in form on trials and tribulations. Tragically in Christendom
today, very few have absolute trust in The Lord, many still have alternatives to God. This explains why so many
have fallen as victims and casualties in the battle field of life. Hebrews 12:2 admonishes us to look unto Jesus The
Author and Finisher of Our Faith. Your help is not in any man but in God alone.
CASE STUDIES OF THOSE WHO TRUSTED IN THE LORD
1. David: He trusted in God and not on kings Sauls armor. 1 Sam.17:32-40

2. The 3 Hebrews Boys: They refused to bow to the idols of the land despite the repercussions. Dan.3

3. Peter: He walked with Christ on the water. Matt 14:24

4. Daniel: He purposed not to defy himself with the portion of the kings meat. Dan. 1:8
