1.0 Introduction

1.1 Computer Network

A computer network or data network is a telecommunications network
which allows computers to exchange data. In computer networks,
networked computing devices exchange data with each other using a data
link. The connections between nodes are established using either cable
media or wireless media. The best-known computer network is the
Internet.
1.2 Communication
Communication is the act of conveying intended meanings from one
entity or group to another through the use of mutually understood signs
and semiotic rules. The basic steps of communication are: The forming of
communicative intent, message composition, message encoding and
decoding, transmission of the encoded message as a sequence of signals
using a specific channel or medium, reception of signals, reconstruction of
the original message, interpretation and making sense of the reconstructed
message.

2.0 Mobile Computing

2.1 Definition
Mobile computing is humancomputer interaction by which a computer is
expected to be transported during normal usage, which allows for
transmission of data, voice and video. Mobile computing involves mobile
communication, mobile hardware, and mobile software.

3.0 Internet Technology and Services

3.1 VoIP
Voice over Internet Protocol (Voice over IP, VoIP and IP telephony) is a
methodology and group of technologies for the delivery of voice
communications and multimedia sessions over Internet Protocol (IP)
networks, such as the Internet. The terms Internet telephony, broadband
telephony, and broadband phone service specifically refer to the
provisioning of communications services (voice, fax, SMS, voice-
messaging) over the public Internet, rather than via the public switched
telephone network (PSTN).

3.2 BLOG
A blog (a truncation of the expression web blog) is a discussion or
informational website published on the World Wide Web consisting of
discrete, often informal diary-style text entries ("posts"). Posts are
typically displayed in reverse chronological order, so that the most recent
post appears first, at the top of the web page. MABs from newspapers,
other media outlets, universities, think tanks, advocacy groups, and
similar institutions account for an increasing quantity of blog traffic. The
rise of Twitter and other "microblogging" systems helps integrate MABs
and single-author blogs into the news media. Blog can also be used as a
verb, meaning to maintain or add content to a blog.
4.0 Types of Network

4.1 PAN
A personal area network (PAN) is a computer network used for data
transmission amongst devices such as computers, telephones, tablets and
personal digital assistants. PANs can be used for communication amongst
the personal devices themselves (interpersonal communication), or for
connecting to a higher level network and the Internet (an uplink) where
one "master" device takes up the role as internet router.

4.2 VPN
A virtual private network (VPN) extends a private network across a public
network, such as the Internet. It enables users to send and receive data
across shared or public networks as if their computing devices were
directly connected to the private network.

4.3 WLAN
A wireless local area network (WLAN) is a wireless computer network
that links two or more devices using a wireless distribution method (often
spread-spectrum or OFDM radio) within a limited area such as a home,
school, computer laboratory, or office building. This gives users the
ability to move around within a local coverage area and yet still be
connected to the network. A WLAN can also provide a connection to the
wider Internet.

4.4 WIMAX
WiMAX (Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access) is a family
of wireless communication standards based on the IEEE 802.16 set of
standards, which provide multiple physical layer (PHY) and Media
Access Control (MAC) options. WiMAX as "a standards-based
technology enabling the delivery of last mile wireless broadband access as
an alternative to cable and DSL".
5.0 Conclusion
We use computer network and communication for sharing information
many times per day. Mobile computing is getting edgier by the day. New
technology and network is getting better along the lines of the information
ages. Now internet and technology is one of our basic needs or friends
everyday.
