2017-18 LIFE Scholarship Deferral

I have been informed by the Office of Admissions and the Office of Financial aid that I am allowed to defer my
terms of eligibility due to required enrollment in developmental/remedial classes at Horry Georgetown
Technical College.

I understand that my terms of eligibility will begin in the spring semester in which I will be enrolled in full-time
non-developmental courses. I also understand that I must complete at least 15 credit hours and earn no less
than a 3.0 cumulative grade point average in order to remain eligible for the LIFE Scholarship the
following academic term. I may also ask for my terms of eligibility to be deferred for the entire first academic
year if I must take additional developmental classes during the spring semester. It is my responsibility to inform
the Office of Financial Aid of my intentions now and if my intentions change in the future.

CHOOSE ONLY ONE (1) OPTION

I elect to waive my LIFE Scholarship for the ENTIRE year due to developmental/remedial
classes in both semesters, so I may be eligible for LOTTERY TUITION ASSISTANCE for the year.

I elect to waive my LIFE Scholarship for the FALL Semester ONLY due to
developmental/remedial classes, so I may be eligible for LOTTERY TUITION ASSISTANCE in the Fall
semester and the LIFE Scholarship in the Spring semester.
