Fundraising Priorities for 2017/2018

Welcome back! We are excited for another incredible year of learning, growth,
and excellence for Silver Creek students. Together, our students and staff
continuously exceed expectations and we look forward to keeping that
momentum going as we start the new school year.
Building on last years success, we are going to start the year with our Silver
Creek Sneak Fun Run and Carnival fundraiser. This will be our one and only
major fundraiser for the year. Like last year, this is a check-writing campaign.
Theres NOTHING TO SELL! Just ask family, friends, and neighbors to sponsor a
student for running a mile in the Sneak. The fundraiser ends with a huge
celebration at the Fun Run & Carnival on Friday, September 29th.
Last years Sneak was a tremendous success! Together, we raised over
$52,000. 100% of the money raised was spent on learning resources and
upgraded technology for our 24 classrooms, Specials rotations, and Special
Education rooms. If you would like more information about how the money was
spent, stop by or drop me a line and we can dive into the details.
Supplemental funding from the community continues to be a cornerstone of
Silver Creeks success. 2017/1018 will be particularly challenging for our
school. As you may have heard, Adams 12 Five Star Schools is projecting a
$13.8 million budget shortfall for the year due to reductions in state funding
levels. Silver Creek will certainly be impacted by the funding shortage.
We hope you will support the school by participating in the Sneak. All the
details about the event are enclosed and we have a team of volunteers working
to make this a fun and rewarding event for our school community.
Our fundraising goals for the 2017/2018 school year are outlined below.
Proceeds from the Sneak along with our silent fundraisers (BoxTops, Spirit
Nights, etc.) will go a long way toward funding these goals.

 Classroom Learning Materials If you have spent any time in your
childs classroom, you know that a lot goes into keeping students
challenged and engaged in their learning. Our amazing teachers bring
learning to life in their classrooms. Each year, we allocate a portion of our
fundraising dollars to be spent on classroom learning materials. Items
typically purchased include books, project supplies, literacy and math
games, news subscriptions, and learning rewards. Budgets are managed
at the classroom level. $25,000
Technology for Classrooms Technology plays a vital role in Silver
Creek classrooms. Bringing our classrooms up to date with technology is a
high priority for our school. This school year, we will update the computer
lab that is used for testing and the classroom research projects by
replacing our slow tower CPUs with Chromebooks. We will also continue
to expand our inventory of classroom Chromebooks so that more
classrooms can work simultaneously. $20,000
Enrichment Programs and Materials An important part of
elementary education is providing learning experiences outside of the
classroom. $9,050 will help us fund school assemblies, playground
equipment, eagle buck rewards, and summer and supplemental reading
programs that benefit multiple grade levels.

Fundraising Goals
The Sneak is our most important fundraiser of the year!
Actually, its our ONLY major fundraiser, so this will be your
ONE TIME to donate to the school.
We know youll love youll l love the school spirit and all
the fun the kids have raising money for a truly excellent
cause!
Were raising money for:
- Classroom Materials
- Classroom Chromebooks
- Technology Lab Chromebooks
- Walkie Talkies
- Student Enrichment Programs
Were asking each student to raise $1OO or more to help us
meet our school goal of $45,OOO. We have PIGS, LIMO
RIDES, and lots of other fabulous prizes to give away! The
more you raise, the more you WIN!
The best part? Theres NOTHING TO SELL! This is a check-
writing campaign. Just ask family, friends, and neighbors to
sponsor a student for running a mile in the Sneak.
Donations are tax deductible and 100% of the proceeds go
directly to the school!
Dont worry if your student is unable to attend the evening
Sneak event. Everyone will have a chance to participate in
an organized activity during school hours, so everyone can
get sponsors, raise money, and WIN PRIZES!

Remember our goal this year is to raise
$45,000 and we are asking each student to
raise $100 or more. Everyone who
participates is eligible for PRIZES!

Double Your Donation with an Employer Match!

Many employers offer donation matching. Check with yours and you may be able to
double your donation! If your company uses Benevity for matching funds, you can
find us under Silver Creek Elementary. Just be sure to send us documentation of
your match in order for matching funds to count toward prizes.

Run or walk our one-mile track with your
family for a healthy start to the new
school year! RACE START TIMES
If you have more than one student, we
recommend running in your youngest K/1st Grade 4:15
childs heat, but the choice is yours. 2nd/3rd Grade 4:30
Strollers and wagons are welcome on the
track. Bikes, scooters, skates, 4th/5th Grade 4:40
skateboards, and animals strictly start times subject to change
prohibited.
There is no fee for the race - your Sneak
donation is your entry!

FUN & PRIZES

Were packing the evening with FUN! We'll have music, a vendor fair, and lots of fun
activities for the kids to do before and after the races. We have all sorts of goodies
to raffle off and we will announce the BIG WINNERS of the Sneak fundraiser.

Show your spirit with a limited edition Sneak shirt! Adult and kids sizes
available for $10. Order by September 1st! Order forms are available at
