DIY Project:

Water pump operated by water level sensor

(Using two copper rods)
Today I want share the simple idea how to building water pump for tank using two copper rod as
water level sensor. This project is suitable to operated 12 Vdc motor pumps. For example like as
aquarium pump. I have used two cooper rods to detect the water level position which it working
as the sensor or switch. Initial stage, the two copper is operated as open circuit and pump is start
to running. When both of copper sense the water through it, it will operated as short circuit. That
signal from copper will send to pump for make it stop to operate.

For build this project, we need to integrate two circuits. The circuits are H-bridge circuit and
comparator circuit. I have use L293D for build H-bridge circuit and use LM324 for build
comparator circuit.

Component of my project:

1. L293D
2. LM324
3. Potentiometer 10KΩ
4. Resistor 4.7kΩ
5. Resistor 10kΩ
6. PCB board
7. Screw terminal 3 way
8. Screw terminal 2 way

I have attached my circuit for we share together. L293D
