r " oster 1 presents two models with a variety of
Iitems of clothing to learn and play with. As a
l\ first step you should cut a11the pictures out and
\' laminate them on both sides so that it will be
easier to stick the items when dressing up the
children. Choose the rnost practical way to do this: by pasting
Velero strips on the figures, by pasting magnet sheets, or just
by using masking tape ro11s.
ae
Have the children dress the models and ask and answer
questions. What is s/he wearing? What cotour is the ... ?
Why is s/lie iuearing a jacket? Because tt's cold.
as ns a
Ask the students to choose a season and draw a picture on the
board. You may also provide a sheet of poster paper and have
them paste flowers, bees, trees, etc. if, for example, they have
chosen spring.
Once they have completed the background scene they can
stick both models and decide what type of clothes they should
wear. Spread the clothing on your desk and cut enough pieces
of Sellotape or masking tape for the students to put on the
back of the clothes and stick them on the models. They can
practise dialogues like the fo11owing:
A: It's spring! The weather is nice and warm. What are they
wearing?
B: (As they stick the clothes on the models) They are iuearing
socks, trainers, trousers, a T-shirt.
Ask them to change the setting and do the same: No, no! It's
roa hot! Take the jacket off and put on sandals atui a dress.
