 TEACHING PHILOSOPHY

Why teaching
The reason I choose teaching is because passing knowledge to people is my passion and
what motivates me a lot was my teaching who was teaching me physical science Mr khoza
who was my mentor because he used to talk to me about that helping it must goes with your
heart that is where I realise that I love helping people. Another thing that makes me to
choose teaching is because when I was at high school I loved to teach my classmates
especially mathematics.

My challenges
The most challenge I had that was very irritating it was my class that I was teaching when I
was doing my practical some of the learners I was they were disrespecting me because
some of them I did my studies them when I was at high school so it was difficulty for them to
accept me as their teacher. Some they were not respecting me because they were older
than me so it was difficulty to respect me but as time goes on they started to notice that we
are no longer the same I am their teacher.

My anticipation on this career path

My anticipation is to bring something new in teaching and the new way of teaching the
learners without unaccommodating other learners because many learners in schools
because of the teaching style not because they dont understand. I want also to teach
leaners that you dont fail because you dont know is because you dont believe in yourself
and trust yourself.

Where I see myself in 5years

In 5years time I see myself as the principal having my own school that is one of my goal I
want to achieve within five years at that time I will be not just a principal only but also as the
international motivator in schools. The lovely that will excite me the most is being a role
model of the coming generation so that the coming generation will learn to me how to drive
yourself in success because many of people lack of success because they dont have
someone to look upon

The difference I want to make on this path

The difference I want to bring in teaching is the new way of teaching learners without
favouring one style of learning but accommodating every learners due to that many learners
fail because some teachers are using one style when he/she is teaching them in that way
other learners fail because of lack of understanding.
MY TEACHING PRACTICE
My first teaching practice it was great at Idlangemabala Secondary School because that is
where I wrote my matric and my principal VC Mkhatshwa welcome with joy because to other
learners I was a motivator that it doesnt matter how difficult it is they can make it just like I
did I even remember that some of the learners I was with at that school I was teaching them
but for them it was difficulty to accept me as their teacher but as time goes on they noticed
that we are no longer the same because of the standard. Doing my practicals at the school
that I wrote my matric to me it was dream come true because I used to tell one of my teacher
who was teaching physical science that I want to be a teach just like him because to him
teaching is not just a job is something that he likes .my teaching practice was very great
because even the teacher who was mentoring me they were mentoring me very well.

The school & environment

The school environment was good because the way the teachers welcomed me was warm I
didnt see a mistake by going. The learners I was teaching they were not good as expected
but as time goes on I adapted to the environment and started to enjoy the school
environment because even the head of the school was also a good person that made me
feel free that is where I decided to say I will go back next year to that school again because
they are good in mentoring student teachers because in that school we were ten doing
practicals there but I didnt even hear anyone saying he/she not feeling comfortable.

My experience
My experience was great because I felt comfortable in the school I was doing practicals
because the teacher who was mentoring me he was a good mentor who knows his job Mr
Khoza he was a good mentor with a good skill in mentoring because now I am able to stand
in front of everyone and say something without any fear I am proud of him I told myself one
day I want to mentor other student teachers just like he did in my life.

My friendship I made
I came across with people who were doing practicals just like me they were from Turf loop
Mr Mhlongo and Mr Mbombi I made friends with them because they were open and people
who always smile just like me they even told me that in their second semester they are going
to the same school for practicals and I told them that I will meet them again next because at
TUT were I am studying we only have one practicals a year.

Being inside the classroom as the teacher for the first

time
Being inside the classroom for the first time to me it was not giving so much a problem
because at the high when I was a student I was teaching my classmates but sometimes I
was getting afraid where should I start teaching because now I am no longer just a person
but I am a teacher to the student who must teacher them something which is right because if
I do mistakes other learners will laugh at me and say he is a teacher but he cant explain this
and that which will ruin my reputation to the student
PICTURES WHEN I WAS DOING TEACHING PRACTICE

My class grade 11A this was the best class for me the learners were doing the work that
they were supposed to do

This time I was checking the classwork for grade 11A that do they write classwork and
homework
This was discussion time for my learners to check whether they understand or not

The first year of my practicals that I will never forget in my life because it has good
memories

CONCLUSION

I love the life I am living the main thing that makes me happy is that I am doing the course
that I love and with this course I am going to achieve my dreams and I want to be a role
model to my children because I believe that if you want to be a role model you need to be a
role model from one of your siblings before other people recognise you as a role model. The
most Important thing I love about my self is that iam passionate with my course and that is
my spirit that what evr I do I need to be passionate with it no matter what circumstances
comes my purpose with my life is to live the best life of my life without any regret
