 JUSTIFIC ATION OF THE SOLUTION

I developed the concept of my floor plan by my clients wishes. She wanted 3

bedrooms, with a laundry room, and home office.The layout that I feel was best for
her and her son was the layout I chose which was the second floor plan. My design
goals where to capture the wants and likes my clients had. I also wanted to make sure
William was happy in his home, and having his disability I didnt want to put colors in
the home that would effect him.The design I chose was Art Nouveau because that is
the style she likes, so I chose all accessories and finishes that would make my client
happy, and make her house a home for her and her son.The different schematics led
to my ultimate decision on the way the house was laid out because originally I had the
master bedroom upstairs with no bathroom. So I moved the master to the second
floor, and placed the office and spare bedroom on the third floor.This gives more
privacy when trying to work in the office.

This class has taught me a lot, the ideas of spec sheets and how important they are to see what
the object is, but also have the information on it to visualize the budget and the item in the ideal
room. This tool will help me in the future, because it will give me a guideline to chose for my
clients. To have organization is key, and with all the components this class has, I had to learn how
to be more organized, that way I have all document on hand when the client asks to see them. My
favorite part about the assignment, and the part that will stick with me the most in my future
projects is the clients information. We got to chose what client we wanted, but I didnt chose any
client. I went through and read each one, and picked the client that I knew would be challenging,
because I wanted to see if I had what it took to make her a home that she would love to come
home to. I feel I made the right decisions. The challenging part is AutoCAD, I dont know what it is,
but I need to do more classes in it, preferably from the beginning because I could not get plotting
to work. I say that is the one thing that will help me in my future is to not give up, and continue to
try to perfect as much as I can, and to learn new things.
