Objectives:

This course is designed as an introductory course for those who will be


attending the CS3000 Engineering course. It provides the student with an
overview of the system, basic operations, and a summary of the engineering
procedures.

Training Hours:

Morning session 900 to 1200 afternoon session 1400 to 1700

Trainees: 8 maximum

Participants:

For CS3000 engineers and technicians who need to perform simple engineering
tasks on the CS3000 system.

2.Engineering:

Objectives:

This course covers the engineering functions of CS3000. It provides the


participants with a working knowledge of System View, the CS3000
engineering tools, and an in-depth knowledge about the regulatory, calculation
and logic control functions. Operator interface functions including graphics are
also covered.

Participants:

For engineers involved in software generation or modification of the CS3000


system.

Prerequisite:

Participants should have attended CS3000 Fundamentals course, or have some


experience in using the DCS. Familiarity with Windows is mandatory.

Objectives: This course is designed to provide participants with an


understanding of hardware, daily maintenance procedures and measures to be
taken when system alarm messages are generated. An optional engineering
fundamentals day is available for students who need to modify and understand
I/O, control loops and logic control.
