Background : Based on WHO Global Report 2015, Indonesia was one of the three country with

highest tuberculosis infection. The most common obstacle for long term medication is patients lack
of medication adherence. This research attempt to found the relationship between patients
knowledge, attitudes, family support and medication adherence of tuberculosis patients at Ciasem
clinic in Kabupaten Subang.

Methods: This research used observational method with cross sectional design. Sample size acquired
by using consecutive sampling. There were 71 patients with certain types of tuberculosis category
measured by using interview, questionnaire and outpatient card observation. The data collected was
analyzed by using spearman test and logistic regression test.

Result: In significance level p=0.05 significance level for each dependent variables are: knowledge
(p=0.034, r=0.252), attitudes (p=0.007, r=0.315) and family support (p=0.000, r=0.523). Multivariate
data analysis result: knowledge (exp(B)= 3.066, CI 95% 1.2027.822), attitudes (exp(B)=3.362, CI 95%
0.87312.946) and family support (exp(B)=9.791, CI 95% 2.77534.542).

Conclusion: Significant relationship found between knowledge, attitudes, family support and
medication adherence. Family support is the most significant variable that affects medication
adherence.
