DC Distribution Panel Bus coupler operation on Auto Mode

Case: When Both DC incoming 1 and incoming 2 are ON and Bus coupler is OFF, DC under voltage occurs
at incoming 1.

When DC under voltage occurs at Incoming 1;

Tripping of Breaker 1Q1

1. F11 contacts (7-9) are released.
2. Due to this 1K2 is de-energized
3. 1K2 NO contacts (13-14) are released
4. Due to this the supply passing from 44K3 (21-22) to Timer Relay 1K4, relay 1K1 and Breaker
Under voltage relay is cut-off.
5. As soon as the 1K4 timer de-energizes its contact (15-16) are closed and supply flows to trip coil
hence breaker 1Q1 opens.

Closing of Bus coupler Breaker 44Q1

6. Simultaneously with the de-energization of 1K2 its NC contacts (31-32) closes and supply flows
through 1K3 NC contacts (21-22) and reaches to energize Timer relay 44K4, relay 44K1 and
breaker 44Q1 under voltage relay.
7. As timer relay 44K4 energizes after a delay contact (15-18) are closed, also with energization of
relay 44K1 NO contacts (13-14) also closes. This make the path of DC supply to Close coil of
breaker and Breaker 44Q1 is switched ON.

When DC voltage restores at Incoming 1;

Opening of Bus-Coupler Breaker 44Q1

1. F11 contacts (7-9) are closed.

2. Due to this 1K2 is energized.

With the energization of 1K2 relay its NC contacts (31-32) opens and supply flowing from 1K3 Contacts
(2
