The Internet

*****
The Internet is one of the modern world's wonders . It has changed our lives

deeply. It is a huge encyclopedia where a person can find information and gain

knowledge about almost anything. Thus, it becomes so easy for a researcher to get the

proper material for his / her thesis without doing great effort going to

the library and searching piles of books for hours and hours.

Students can also take tests online and do courses online. Distance learning

becomes the feature of the future education. It is accredited all over the

world. Nowadays, every governmental administration or ministry has a database on

the Internet. Therefore, if someone wants to pay a phone bill or get an extract of a

birth certificate , he / she can access the proper site and do the transaction

wanted in no time.

The internet is also a means of amusement where you can watch movies,

matches or play games. It is also a marketplace where a buyer and seller meet and

exchange goods .

However, there is no control on the internet. Consequently , there are bad

and immoral sites which pollute the intellect of people with weak

will or poor education, some young people waste a lot of time setting before the

computer chatting in useless things. This causes weak eyesight . It also

weakens the family relationships and lessens family visits. Regardless its

drawbacks , the internet remains the best invention ever. Nations can't go

without it.
Traveling

Traveling is known as a human instinct for years. Since the beginning of

mankind creation , man has been on the move. . It is not only man that has the

desire for traveling, but also other creatures as birds and fish. They migrate

from a place to place searching for safe and warm weather to reproduce . Man
is a social animal by nature. He is always eager to be among others. He keeps looking for a
community. In the past, people traveled from place to place searching for food, animals
and plants. People also used to travel seeking for shelter, warm weather, fire, safety and
stability. After knowing agriculture, people traveled for trade and investment. Being
curious , man traveled for the sake of exploration and discovering other places. He finds
traveling a good means of gaining more information and knowledge about other nations. It
is a means of cross cultures and learning other languages and traditions. It establishes
human ties and relationships among various nations. It brings hard currency and increases
foreign investments. Thus, it creates new job opportunities. I really am fond of traveling.
Whenever I am free or have few days off work, I travel anywhere inside the country or
abroad. It's really amazing to go sightseeing, visit new places and get to know a lot about
other people in different places around the world. Traveling nowadays becomes very easy
and quick as the means of transportation are available, convenient and comfortable. Over
the years, traveling has been a basic instinct of all living organisms.
YOUTH, THE FUTURE GENERATION
***************

Throughout the years, youth are the hope of every nation. They are the generations of the
future. So, we have to pay them the most care. It is the responsibility of parents , school
and the state to provide all facilities for youth to be creative , well- educated and inventors
in all fields of knowledge and life. They should be brought up in an environment full of
love , stability , peace and complete security. Parents should co-operate with the school to
raise the children in a respected and moral way. They should be taught good behavior ,
discipline and religious virtues. These principles should be ingrained in their subconscious

since their birth. So, when they grow up and become young people, they behave
with the society around them the same way. Our future youth, the young people who will
regain our dignity and freedom, are the hope of our country. We should give them our
wisdom and experience. The state should provide them with job opportunities, good
education , health care , scholarships and all means of scientific research. They are the
future makers.
The Egyptian revolution, January 25th. 2011

The 2011 Egyptian revolution took place following a popular uprising that began on 25
January 2011. The uprising, in which the participants placed emphasis on the peaceful
nature of the struggle, mainly comprised a campaign of civil resistance, which featured a
series of demonstrations, marches, acts of civil disobedience, and labor strikes. Millions of
protesters from a variety of socio-economic and religious backgrounds demanded the
overthrow of the regime of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak. Despite being
predominantly peaceful in nature, the revolution was not without violent clashes between
security forces and protesters. The campaign took place in Cairo, Alexandria, and in other
cities in Egypt.

Grievances of Egyptian protesters were focused on legal and political issues including
police brutality, state of emergency laws, lack of free elections and freedom of speech,
uncontrollable corruption, and economic issues including high unemployment, food price
inflation, and low minimum wages. The primary demands from protest organizers were
the end of the Hosni Mubarak regime and the end of emergency law; freedom, justice, a
responsive non-military government, and a say in the management of Egypt's resources.
Strikes by labor unions added to the pressure on government officials.

On 11 February Vice President Omar Suleiman announced that Mubarak would be

stepping down as president and turning power over to the Supreme Council of the Armed
Forces. The junta, headed by effective head of state Mohamed Hussein Tantawi,
announced on 13 February that the constitution would be suspended, both houses of
parliament dissolved, and that the military would rule for six months until elections could
be held. The prior cabinet, including Prime Minister Ahmed Shafik, would continue to
serve as a caretaker government until a new one is formed. Shafik resigned on 3 March, a
day before major protests to get him to step down were planned; he was replaced by
Essam Sharaf, the former transport minister. Since then, Egypt has been living a time of
unrest, yet the sun of freedom shines over its land for ever.
My favorite hobby
*********
My favorite hobby is reading. I really am a book worm. I spend most of my time
reading. I have a huge bookcase at home. When I was at school , I used to spend most of
my free time in the school library. I used to borrow books, read them at home and make
notes.
My father used to get me magazines, flash books and short stories for children. He
had a huge bookcase in his study room.. So, I was brought up in a family which is greatly
fond of reading and appreciating the value of books.
After I grow up, I am still fond of reading. I can't go without a book in my hand. I
have a membership in almost all the public libraries throughout the country. Reading is
really great. You can tour the world while sitting in a library reading a book, a newspaper
or a magazine. We know a lot about ancient civilizations from books.
Nowadays, Modern inventions and technology such as television, satellites and the
internet have invaded the world of knowledge. I spend hours and hours reading useful
topic on the internet and watching documentary programs on TV.
However, the book is still and will be my best companion forever. The printed words
and the yellow pages have a great influence on me. They are integrated in my life. They
are part and parcel of my identity.

A place I won't forget

Last winter, I went with my family to a tourist village in Hurgada. We spent four days
there. On the first day, we took a glass boat down the sea. It was a marvelous trip. We saw
the coral reefs and colorful fish. In the evening, we went to the cinema, and we watched a
great movie. On the second day, we went swimming in the morning. The water there was
clear, warm and very beautiful. The sand was so beautiful that we couldn't miss a sun
bathe there. After that, we had lunch in the restaurant where we met some tourists and
spoke with them in English. It was a good chance to practice the language with native
speakers. On the third day, we went sightseeing. We had a great tour of the city. In the
evening, we went shopping. We bought a lot of souvenirs for our friends and relatives. On
the fourth day, I spent the morning writing post cards to my friends, In the evening, the
hotel gave a great farewell party. It was really great . It was really a wonderful trip .we all
