SUMMARY / RATIONALE
A local amusement park is looking for new designs for their next roller coaster and is looking to young
upcoming engineers for help. Who better to design roller coasters than the young people that will be
riding the coasters? They have asked for the design, the roller coaster name and logo, and explanation of
why your roller coaster should be selected.

The purpose is to be persuasive and informative.

You will write a persuasive paper that has roller coaster logo attached.

PROCEDURES

1. Complete build of roller coaster and all related work.

2. Agree upon a name for your groups roller coaster.

3. Create your own art work for the roller coaster logo. Must be your best work: planned, sketched, and
colored. You can use any medium of your choice. Pay special attention to details and color selection to
make your logo exciting.

4. Write your persuasive paper (1 page minimum) following the above directions and FCAs
5. Oral read in six-inch voice& edit: Did I do what I was supposed to do? Does it sound right? Did I meet
the requirements of the FCAs?
