be anticipated, business rules assume that businesses use rules in their interaction with other businesses.

Rather than wait for people to make decisions business rules capture those decision making capabilities.

Business rules have virtually all of the same concerns as we saw in expert system rules, in terms of

knowledge acquisition, knowledge representation, verification and validation, etc.
