Two Wings

INTRO
The scene will start on a cobbled road in the middle of
Cambridge. The scene slowly fades out of black and into the
shot of Adam and his death walking down the street.

EXT.
ADAM and his DEATH are walking down a dark and gloomy street
with buildings surrounding them. Adam our main
character is walking with slight limp a bloody noise and
Rosie cheeks from where he been hit, hes walking with his
gray hoodie up and hands in his pocket. His death that
follows him is walking just a little bit behind Adam and hes
walking with confidence as he smokes his cigarette, with a
bright colored jacket, white shirt and a bold cravat, as
well as wearing a cool pair of sunglasses even though its
not sunny.
DEATH
I just dont understand why you had
to get involved (Inhales cigarette)
You could have easily avoided that.
ADAM
What do you mean? I had every right
to argue back.

Confuses is written across ADAMS face when asked this

question.
DEATH
Yeah I know that, but you dont
have every right to swing at the
bloke, beside he was a 6 ft giant,
what where you expecting? Him to
shake your hand and let you back
into the queue? Nah mate.

ADAM
Look Im not in a good state at the
moment, stop having a go
please. You know that Emily decide
just to let everything go and leave
me like some childhood toy, and you
know how that made me feel. Ive
been tired every since and just
going crazy.
DEATH
Morality isnt relevant to whats
happened in your personal life you

cant just take it out on random
people. Thats not right and that
not being a good human you know
that.

ADAM
You just dont understand. We live
in a world where everyone is evil,
where everyone has a little bit of
a demand in them, without that we
wouldnt be us we wouldnt be
human... People need to be
different to survive, being
different allows us to be creative
and are own selfs not like
everyone else on this god forsaken
planet.
DEATH
But Im talking about morality the
good and bad of a
situation. Example, you throwing a
punch at the massive bloke. Do you
honestly think that was a good
idea, youre lucky you didnt see
me, but do you think that was being
a good person? I understand what
you mean we all need to be
different but not by starting a
fucking fight with someone. Sure I
know it hard since Emily left you,
Death then flicks his cigarette away into the middle of the
street
DEATH
But thats no reason to start
fights and be aggressive to people
...take your anger and frustration
out on something else not on the
world...thats the wrong thing to
do.
A woman who is walking the opposite way down the street walk
between Adam and death, she then suddenly stops and turns
back round and looks at Adam
ADAM
I just dont understand why she
would just leave me like that? what
did I do? People can be so awful so
hurtful, yet...yet nothing happens

ADAM (contd)
to them life just goes on for them
but not for the ones theyve hurt.
(Adam then stops walking, pauses,
keeping his eyes straight ahead and
says) You know are my best mate,
youve helped me through so much
all this hassle this struggle, I
just want to say... Thank you mate.
DEATH
Oi, come on enough of that soppy
stuff now, lets carry on going or
youre gonna be late for your
appointment
ADAM
God, why do I have to have therapy
to listen to some psychiatrist of
averageness explain which words
mean which feelings when has that
ever helped anyone do anything? I
think its helped a lot of people
get comfortable with themselves and
be bale to stop panicking, but its
not something I want for myself.
DEATH
Hey...Just give it a go, and dont
use gods name in vain around me
alright?
We then see ADAM walk through the front door to his house
with DEATH behind him, we then see the door close behind
him.

INTRO TITLE SEQUENCE

EXT.
We can now hear ADAM and Death talking to each other in the
hallway of his house. The shot will show ADAMS living room,
his living room will be a dark set with harsh shadows that
cover the room. There will be one sofa at the back where
death runs in and jumps onto the sofa lying down on the back
sofa when doing this he picks up a tennis ball to play with
on the sofa, he then throws it up to himself and fidgets
around with it whilst he talks to ADAM who is sitting on an
arm chair next to the sofa. There will be a small coffee
table in the middle with a small pile of magazines,
newspaper and an ash tray, as well as a cup tea that has

obviously been sitting there all day but we see ADAM pick it
up before he sits down and start to drink it
ADAM
What time is my psychiatrist
coming, again?

DEATH
Any second now mate. you wait hell
knock any minute now you just wait.

There is then a doorbell sound that goes off.

DEATH
Fucking get in, told you mateee
(DEATH is still messing around with
the tennis ball)

ADAM
Mate I didnt disagree with you
(ADAM gets up to walk over to let
the psychiatrist in, when doing so
we see him smile and shake his head
at DEATHS comment)
ADAM then goes and opens the door to the hallway, when this
happens death is still lying down on the sofa throwing up
the ball in the air. We then hear ADAM and the psychiatrist
talking in the hallway.

ADAM
Hi there, nice to meet you, im ADAM
MR. LAUDER
Hello ADAM my name is MR. LAUDER,
Ive heard a lot about you.
ADAM
Oh sorry...Please come in.
MR. LAUDER
Oh ahaha thank you.
ADAM
Would you like a drink? Tea?
Coffee? squash?

At this point we see Adam almost panicking with the idea he

has to talk to a psychiatrist, so he finds anyway to
distract himself.

MR. LAUDER
ADAM sit down will you (He states
in a calm manor) now Ive heard a
lot about you.

ADAM
What exactly, what have you have
heard about me? (We see ADAM is
starting to lose his temper)
MR. LAUDER
Well for a start ive heard your a
talented young man with numbers.
ADAM
oh yeah thats right (ADAM then
starts to calm back down as he
realises the psychiatrist isnt
trying to attack him yet)
MR. LAUDER
I also under stand youve just gone
through a tough break up and youve
been letting that anger out on
certain things...certain things
that can get you hurt, I can
see already youve been in a little
punch up today... Listen ADAM your
sister has contacted me and told me
whats been going on, and we need to
work together to focus this anger
into happiness. I know youve got
a lot to be angry about but keeping
it yourself and staying quiet like
youre doing its not going to help
you... Theres pain underneath.
Thats where our work needs to go.
You need to help both of us to
figure this out so you dont get
hurt.

There is then a sudden pause between the two ADAM sits there
blankly not saying anything, whilst this silence happens
DEATH starts to speak.
DEATH
Thats exactly what I said to him
doc, he just doesnt listen (DEATH
at this point is till messing
around with the tennis ball on the
sofa)

The psychiatrist then does a heavy breath out and leans

forward in his chair and starts to speak to ADAM again
quickly interrupting DEATH.
MR. LAUDER
What is about your girlfriend
breaking up with you that is making
you get this angry?
ADAM holds back as his eyes start to wander off into the
lights in his living room. He then suddenly takes a big
sigh and leans forward in his chair.
ADAM
Oh I dont know maybe its the fact
that she just let me go like I was
nothing, like I was her childhood
goldfish that she never really
cared bout. But you know what, you
wanna know something funny? I dont
care about her dumping me, I dont,
I honestly dont give two
shits. But what I do care about is
the fact that no one...no one
talked to me or even just asked me
if i was okay after she dumped
me. Not a single person asked how
I was doing, and you know what that
makes me feel like shit. Just the
thought that no one really cares.
MR. LAUDER
ADAM thats why im here, im here to
listen. And trust me when I say
this to you, I do care, I really
do.
ADAM
Phhh no you dont, your getting paid
to listen thats all you do, you
take in my Bullshit and fucking
regurgitate it back out with some
stupid cliche bollocks. You dont
care.
ADAM then leans back into his chair with both his hands over
his face like an immature school boy whos just been told
off.
MR. LAUDER
Well...If you dont think I care,
your sister sure does, shes paying
for these sessions. She knows you

are angry thats why shes sent me to
help you out and...
Rudely interrupting MR. LAUDER before he can carry on
talking ADAM strarts to speak agian ss his anger is getting
more obvious.
ADAM
Then why didnt she just come? HEY!
Why didnt she come and see me and
talk to me about evrthying that has
been tearing me down?
DEATH
Shes scared of you, thats why.

ADAM
Shut up (vigourlsey turning his
head towards death, then back to MR
LAUDER.
MR. LAUDER
(Confusion is written on his face)
You will have to ask her youself
ADAM.
ADAM
No im sorry this isnt working
please leave...
MR. LAUDER
ADAM if you would just listen...

ADAM
No please get out, me and my friend
where having a nice time before you
turned up with your bullshit.
Whilst he says this ADAM then points to the sofa where DEATH
is lying down and waving at the pyschitraist.
MR. LAUDER
Excuse me?...theres no one there
Adam.
