BASS REFLEX SYSTEM
Beneath its anodised aluminium skin Mu-so is
alive with innovation. At its heart an active
arrangement of six digital amplifiers deliver
a total of 450 watts of power to six
custom-designed speakers.
DSP
Two large custom bass drivers are supported
by a sophisticated porting system with
an outlet at the end of the cabinet. It was
carefully designed to move large volumes
of air with low turbulence for richly textured,
low distortion bass.
ACRYLIC BASE
The whole Mu-so cabinet sits on an illuminated
base of high-grade acrylic which provides the
foundation for the electronics and speakers
to shine.

The Mu-so audio brain is a 32-bit digital
signal processor with software fine-tuned by
our engineers in the listening room.
It controls the flow of music information
to each speaker and benefits from the
developments we made in designing the
best in-car audio systems for Bentley motors.

and away from room boundaries for superb
sound quality anywhere in your home.

Silk dome tweeters were chosen through
listening tests to replace the traditional metal
cones found in many wireless speakers for
their benefit to sound quality.
MID-RANGE DRIVERS
Custom mid-range drivers provide crystal
clear speech and emotively powerful vocals.
We found through tests that positioning
them as the outermost driver aided even
sound dispersion.
CONTROL APP
There are many elements of design craft that
make Mu-so a unique system. All are born
from a desire for music performance and
quality.
An extruded aluminium heat sink maximises
thermal performance. The wooden speaker
cabinet, designed for acoustic performance,
is wrapped in a layer of high-grade aluminium
to provide extra dampening for a distortion
free sound. The volume control is constructed
of a ring of solid aluminium which runs
the circumference of the touch-panel control

interface with its patent-pending system

The embedded antenna system is another
patent-pending Mu-so innovation, providing
seamless and robust Wi-Fi connectivity.

THE NAIM AUDIO STORY

Even the simplest idea can become the seed

for something truly monumental.

Naim founder, Julian Vereker MBE (1945-2000),

was a successful racing car driver, self-taught
engineer and entrepreneur with a deep
passion formusic. Spending his spare time
listening to the greatest artists of the 1960s
and 70s, as well as his own friends playing
live, Julian found the performance of playback
at home fell woefully short in almost every
area that mattered.

Not content with second best, he set about

designing his own amplifiers and loudspeakers,
completely unaware that he was laying the
foundations for a range of iconic and award-
winning hi-fi products that wouldreach well
into the next century. Julian had no ideas
of fame or fortune, he simply wanted to
experience music replayedin the truest and
purest possible form.

These were our founding values in 1973 and

they continue to fuel every aspect of our
progress today. The technology we use to
achieveour aims will always change and evolve
with time, but our ultimate goal remains the
same to bring our listeners a deeper and
more intense experience of music.
