Working paper 1.

Committee : UNHRC
Signatories : Bangladesh, Saudi Arabia, Russia Federation
The authors of this working paper believe that despite religious view of the majority, LGBT
community still has to receive a treatment that does not work against them. To that end we
propose:

1. Local law enforcement to act non-aggressive towards the ongoing LGBT movements that
take place in current status quo.
2. Protecting their associations from external threats.
3. Neutralization in education, which sexual orientation is explained in an objective way,
without teachers hinting on their view of belief.
4. Expanding their freedom of self-expression through social media, without intervention of
government to close their expression platform.
5. Conducting studies and researches in many subjects such as medical science, psychology,
sociology, and theology to renew interpretation of LGBT to justify their existence among
normal society.
6. Imposing the dont ask, dont tell policy in their place of employment to reduce
discrimination among their co-workers.
7. Socializing an action of tolerance towards LGBT community among the society.
a. Allowing a room for discussion among normal society and LGBT community.
b. Encouraging LGBT community to socialize themselves as a non-harmful
community to receive acceptance from society.
8. Reinterpreting the existing law in which self-declaration of sexual orientation is allowed
and protected, where sexual intercourse of same gender is still prohibited.
9. Requesting UN Human Rights Council assistance in supervising societys behavior
towards LGBT community.

The voting rights will have to be worked out. We are amenable to change.
