KNOWING CHRIST PERSONALLY

TEXT: JOHN 14:6

Introduction
Without God, there is no life; no Jesus, No life! In other to know God we must know
Jesus. For without Jesus, there is no life.
The Name of Jesus makes every problem in our lives to bow. Phil 2:10 makes us to
understand that at the mention of the Name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven,
and things in earth, and things under the earth. Sicknesses, diseases and joblessness all bow at
the mention of the Name of Jesus. Jesus is the way that connects us to God. Without Jesus there
is no way. What does a way mean? A way is a path that you should follow. It is a blueprint. We
should build our lives in the blueprint that Jesus left from the beginning to the end of His Life.
He came to the earth to show us the way we should live from our birth till we die.
Jesus is the truth that sets free. Without Jesus there is no truth. He said in John 8:32
you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free. We can replace the word truth with
Jesus; because Jesus is the truth. You shall know Jesus and Jesus shall set you free. So many
things are wrong in peoples lives because they do not know Jesus but John 14:6 makes us to
know that Jesus is the true way that brings life; life to your family, life to your health, life to your
academics and life to your own life. Jesus gave us His life so that it can be easy for us to live a
life that is well pleasing to God.
To know Jesus is to have peace because Jesus is the Prince of Peace. True peace is
within Jesus. Jesus came so that we can have life more abundantly. John 10:10 - The thief
cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and
that they might have it more abundantly. The devil comes to steal your happiness and
advancement, but Jesus has come for you to have your joy and life more abundantly. To have
abundant life you must know Jesus.
HOW DO YOU KNOW JESUS?
1. You know Jesus through knowing His Word 2 Tim 2:15
2. To Know Jesus is to live a holy life. Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin
against thee. Psalm 119:11
3. You must help others know Jesus. You are to live for Him by spreading His Word to others so
that they can know Him.

4. You must allow Him to control your life. Luke 9:24
5. You must follow His ways.
WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF LIFE?
To make heaven and to take as many people with you
CONCLUSION
There is no meaning in life without Jesus. Jesus secures your eternality. Without Jesus your
eternity is blink.
