Database Configuration Assistant Steps

1. Step01:Open the database configuration assistant and select the create a database radio
button.
2. Step02: Choose your preferred template.
3. Step03: Input your Global Database Name: Note that your Global Database Name & SID can
be identical.
4.Step04: Select the management option that you would like to use to manage this database.
5.Step05: Create your password for your account.
6. Step06: Choose the storage mechanism you would like to use for your database. I chose File
System to my database system.
7. Step07: Identify the locations for the database files to be made. I chose Use Database File
Locations from Template for me to have like a default location where can I found my database
files.

8. Step08: Choose your preferred recovery options for the database. Specify Flash Recovery Area
is the recovery option available and it a help a lot if ever the files were corrupted or deleted in
some way.
9. Step09: Choose the SQL scripts you want to run after the database is made. Sometimes if not
needed , it is necessary not to run the scripts in order to work with the database faster.
10. Step10: Initiate your parameters namely the memory, sizing, character sets & connection mode.
Customized them in your own likings.
11. Step11: Read this for more information for you to know some more things about the database. It
will set as a guide for you. A File Location Variables... button exist in the lower right for moreinfo for
the location of the variables if you ever wanted to manage them.
12. Step12: Create your database by clicking the finish button. You can put a check to the checkboxes
Create a Database', Save From a Database Template and Generate Database Creation Scripts.
13. Step13: This states that you will begin to create a General Purpose Database.
14. Step 14: It shows the loading status of your ongoing process of creating the database,
15. Step15: It will appear right after you finish creating the database created. It displays your database
details that you build.
